you're a mechanic. even 2 second trips require driving. so why would we? Anyway, with a caddy you don't want handling, you want to feel like you're driving a couch down the highway.
Unless you're in a CTS-V. The king of American Import beaters!!!! The imports got nothing to hang with the big bad LS2 Caddy!

Haha, my mom has a regular CTS, I bet it could hang with stock <99 gt's. Its pretty damn quick.. 220-230 hps or something...with a sports shifter. I've yet to drive a v though.

The only caddys that I see around here are devilles with 20's, the roof faling off, limo tint and enough bass hits to give a cat a brain hemorage... it's sad really

I have only seen 1 CTS-V... and it was at a dealer.

Dollar per what you get is exactly the same as the Mustangs.

19k for a V6
24k for a Z28/GT
30k for an SS/na 4.6 SVT

I don't see where you guys are coming from with this "the GT was a better deal" when the Z28 ran mid 13s for the same base price as a 14 second GT?
There was no performance difference between the Z28 and SS, just a big markup by GM for what basically amounted to an appearance package. The Z28 was similar in price to a GT and similar in performance to a Cobra.

Dude...Stop. The GTO's are slow. Get over it. They lose everytime.

Speedwise, GTO>pre-'05 mustang GT.

Same here, you can get one for $26k. The styling may have fallen flat on its face but exactly what kind of performance were you expecting from a 4000 lb luxury performance coupe costing about half as much as its European counterparts? 11's? Unless the driver has no idea whatsoever what he's doing those cars run mid-high 13's at 102-104. Also, the interior is one of the best you'll find in any American car; I've sat in one and it's very nice.

Thats true. I often forget about the weight difference.. Since they say that 100 pounds = .1 in the 1/4.. there you go.
