I forgot to mention I always have a toolbox, some spare parts, (cap/rotor, spark plug wires)jumper cables and mini air compressor (weighs 2lbs.) in the back along with the spare tire, lug wrench, and mini jack, my dad makes me keep all that s*** in the back "just in case." I agree with that but jesus christ thats at least an extra 75 lbs. all together. By the way my daddy didn't pay for the car..... I HAVE a job.

An extra 75lbs is really nothing. That's like an extra 2ft. So unless you beat him by 2ft or less...I wouldn't worry. lol

75lbs can mean the difference between a win and a loss. I believe its every 100lbs you lose, you gain a tenth in the 1/4 mile. Either way, weight adds up rather its to slow you down or make you faster, weight reduction greatly improves times.

To the OP, nice kill. Your next mod should be some 4.10 gears.

I am definately getting some 4.10's soon I hope because myacceleration is real slow until I get some momentum. If I floor it at like 35-40 I can get to 60 pretty quickso Im happy with that but from a dig It's pretty bad IMO.

How much do 4.10's help..... 0-60 wise? I'm wondering how much time it will take off of stock numbers.
I have a CAI and Catback exhaust as far asmods go so far, and I haven't really tested the 0-60 very accurately.

I have an AOD with 2.73 gears, they're not as bad as people say. I don't plan on ever swapping them out.
GM AOD > Ford AOD, this is where Ford dropped the ball for decades until the 5spd auto in the S197 that is.

Good question! I am also interested to know how much steeper gears would help, but in my case 3.73s (daily driver). How much of a 1/4 mile ET reduction could I expect?
