Yes. Although numbers of horsepower, the altima is lower then the stang, it is slightly lighter. It has the VQ35 (350z) engine in it and it puts out decent power for an automatic. That being his engine is always at peak power,

Well, the newer Altima 3.5's have the same engine as the 350Z, and are capable of running as low as 14.20-30's for the new Coupes and SE-R's. Typically, the common SE model sedans are usually upper 14's however. They have pretty decent aftermarket support as well, so they have some potential. The guy prolly had some healthy bolt-ons. If he was turboed, you would've known.....
