The super Snake Stage 2 will be a good match for the new viper

I just love the fact that American automobiles are coming to the forfront high end automobiles. I'm sure motor trend will say the 911 Turbo is a more fun to drive car that a Viper or a Z06. But how much fun can you have when your sucking down V8 or V10 exhaust fumes all the time?[:@]As far as picking a Z06 over a Viper. They look pretty similar so I'd pick the one the had the best performance number for it's year. This year it's the Vette, Next Year it will be the Viper. I'm all about the numbers.
I think there is more to driving the Porsche than 1/4 mile times. I think the interior, and fit and finish of the Porsche is light years ahead of either the Vette or the Viper. There is a really big reason that the Porsche holds its resale value better than either of those cars.
I've had this conversation with others before. You can talk about fit & finish or you can talk about performance numbers. If your into the performance of a car like I am. You would have a very hard time paying twice as much for a car with less performance than the American cars Providing your one of the people that actually has a budget! And I'm just curious? Do you have any hard facts that the porsche holds a better resale value that a Viper or Z06? I'm way to lazy to research this. But what is the actual percentage of loss Between those cars for first year depreciation? And after five years?

I guess that TAPOUT likes the luxury more then real performance. If you were to think about it, the Dodge Viper STR Hennessy version, would kill the porsche carrera GT. Of course, it is more then half of the price. You like the design of the porsche's, and we like cars that perform. Sure, who wouldn't want a porsche, they are cool cars. But, if I want luxury, I'd go with an SLR. Seeing as Mercedes is the bench-mark for luxury these days. Plus, the for GTX1 would mess up 90% of all porsche's, not just on top end, but on the track and looks wise.

plus, typically higher end cars retain their value only because of their name. That does not mean that the quality of the car is awesome. My buddies in the past, that owned ferrari's and porsche's, said that there cars were in the shop moreso then they were on the road. He bought a lambo and then a Ford GT, and they were hardly ever in the shop, and the interior did not have that higher-end cheapness to it.

Most of the people who comment on high end car interiors, have spent no time in them. I laugh at alot of the comments I hear about cars that I have actually spent considerable time in...including my Vette..

I would tend to agree with this for the most part. People don't buy Ferrari's and Lambo's because they're the end-all of performance. The exclusivity is probably a huge part of it, because the Vette and Viper aren't really considered supercars still, even though I'd have to disagree. People just assume since it's a Ferrari it's faster than everything on the road. The exhaust note of most exotics are pure sex from the factorythough. Nothing like a tuned v12.

responds well to mods=that particular manufactuar didnt know what they hell they were doing when designing it

yes, it would take 900hp in a mustang to keep up with a 600hp viper/vette, nothing agenst the mustang its just a completely different class of car

when you get into 600hp+ those numbers mean nota when trying to lunch, and in most cases, you wont know how to drive if you have to buy a 750hp car rather than just build one yourself

those henessy vipers are crazy, theres a vid online somwhere of one doing 0-220 in 24 seconds, just madness

in this years hotrod pump gas drags, there was a tt viper with a th400 and 4 link running in the low 8s, and he saids it has done 7.70s before

pretty insane on the speed level of these cars these days. Besides, Exotics are overrated. I mean, who wants to pay $400 for a damn oil change. Besides, the interiors are not that great. Overall, exotics are no joke, but if you buy an exotic because of the looks on the inside being exclusive from most other cars, your an idiot.......my $.2
