yes im 19 with a paid off 07 s197 gt. sadly the way i affored tototally pay it off was a lawsuit from my dad getting killed in a car crash. dump trucks can really mess up a little pick up.


i know the kid cant drive ive seen him race a few times.but maby you guys are right, he could have gotten better. maby i should take him up on the race and only put 500 on the line. well see.

 

Sorry to hear about your Dad, thats a terrible way to die and sucks to lose someone that close at that age. And as far as the race goes, its totally up to you what you race for. I personally love the feel of just racing without anything on the line. If I win, I win, if I lose, I lose. Its up to you, but I think it will be a drivers race, meaning if he can drive, he might win, but if not, than you got this. Check under his hood or in his trunk for mods and Nitrous.

 

No one races for "pinks" unless they know they are going to win. He's full of crap or he's got something hidden for you. Race for a couple hundred bucks (tire money) or for kicks.

 

yeah dont do it for pinks, but i think that guy is just bsin you. so put some money on the line, a couple hundred, have other people there so he doesnt try to back out of paying. vid if possible

 

This one will be close, but I say the S197 will take the cake.

 

If he's a kid he just threw the pinks thing in to try and scare you out of racing. Maybe he did a little research and found out he's not as fast as he thinks.[8D]

 

Avoid doing the pink slip thing... the only people who run for pinks are either: Extremely wealthy and don't care about losing a vehicle, movie actors starring in a movie, video game characters, or street punks who are trying to intimidate or pull a quickie on someone. Race for cash, it's available, useful, and you don't have to deal with any of the legal b.s. Check the ride before hand to make sure he isn't going to be spraying on you. Have fun and be safe, you should have himby a bitif you get some good gears.

Also.. depending on what kind of cash you got, invest in some newsticky tires and hunt down some steelies out of a local junk yard that will fit on your car.. would be worth the investment to get an evenbetter launch off the line. This would be easiest quick mod you could do considering anything else would require you to bust out a tool set and pop the hood.

 

Odds are the kid doesn't own the car anyway so racing for pinks seems stupid. Also m3s are kind of overrated. If the driver sucks they can be outperformed by the regular 3 series, if the kid can actually drive however that m3 will become a lethal weapon. Any car can be slow no matter how much horsepower it has, the race always, ALWAYS depends on the driver.
