I just wanted to get your guys opinions on the new Evo's. I've always been a fan of Evo's but I think this one is overrated overpriced and underpowered. Its slower than the older ones, the front is hideous and its lost its edge. Over all I think its a failure. I was really hyped for this car but it dissapointed me.

 

i think it has failed too. Supposedly it is unbelievable around a road course and handles like a dream, but really how often will you be able to use that? I dont mind the looks, but you cant do a huge redesign like that and make it slower.

Car and Driver wrote an article too but its not on there website yet. I just can't believe after all that hype and increased horsepower and its slower. I thought for sure that this car would be insane.

What!? slower i cant believe that....dose it wieght alot more, or is the stock tune just garbage and will it be like anyother turbo car, give it a good tune and it get like 10000 hp...

 

It weighs about 300 pounds more I believe.

 

yea i read the article, what a shame.....but i have a good feeling they will not be slower then the previous years by anymeans. and will probably respond good to mods, maybe even more so then the previous models....

 

I will hold anything I have to say back until they get the British treatment. Non of our EVO's are like yours. The handling improvements are only because they included everything we got on the old models and altered it slightly. So not expecting it to handle much better than the older EVO's we have here. The ones you guys got were somewhat cut down to everyone elses.

I expect all the ones that sell out here will be above 300hp though like the last gen EVO's Lowest powered one we sold was 305hp. Bet this one gets bumped up a bit more still with some other goodies. Heres hoping they bring another 400hp or even better a larger power version out here again.

From what I have seen you also get ****ty transmission...sequential automatic thing. The ****s with that! And the MR gets a 5 speed manual...ours all got 6 speed manuals same as the old versions. Non of this 5 speed bollocks.

Although on the plus side its a whole lot better than the new STI which looks like your average hatchback with a bonnet vent...FUGLY!

thought the evos lookd good how they have it now. now it looks like a family sedan...wow they look unproportiante to me

Personally I thought the 7 - 9 was fugly. I'm still a big fan of the EVO 5 and 6. The older ones were better to drive as well. Might not be as fast on paper but they were far more fun.
