Anyone ever race a 550i? How well would a 05-07 GT hold up with one? (Got a guy talking mad **** with beemer)

Are you a manual or auto? Are you a good driver? The 550i is a fast sedan. I had one take off in front of me while making a right turn and I followed behind him and was only able to pull even with him by about 80. I did start behind him though so I would have pulled him if westarted at the same time, but it would have been averyslow pull.

I would say stock for stock the 550i is even with a 5sp GT, but the GT better be driven perfectly. Just go out and race a couple times if you get the jump you can probably hold him off.. if he gets the jump I don't think you will be able to catch him (I'm assuming you are stock).

drivers race, just like any other of the thousand "mustang gt vs ______" threads, but seeing how you just got in a wreck with your car i cant see why you are itching to try and wreck it again

I was playing with one out at the old airport a week or two ago. There is a post in Street/Strip about it.
It was a 6-Speed Manual Car. We killed a couple of hours just messing around. My car was dead even with his.

it's pretty recent too.
I just messed around with one, not only dragging, but taking turns also and we went for about 3 miles with about 3 or 4 red lights. I smoked him, but not by much and I gotta admit that even on the road I go to 4-5 times a week that I was really familiar with it was a mission for me to beat him.

the FASTEST im seeing is what??? 13.51?? and i think i saw 13.40 something on somebody's signature here just now with just a catback and an intake. I don't see how that makes the 550i faster

I ran a 500 series (Not sure which one, but it was new) from a light about a month ago. It was before the SC. He was pretty fast.
