I was pulling onto the highway, in a two lane onramp, and there was this car tailing me. As we went down the onramp, I saw him pull to my right to pass me, and I was like, nonono, and i dropped it into 2nd to try to pace him. No freakin way...he blew my doors off. So i keep on it and finally catch up to him going like 120. So I pull up next to him, and slow it down a little. My friend was with me so he looked over at the guy and nodded. So I dropped it into second, and waited to see what he was going to do. He wasn't going so I launched it hard, and then i saw him get on it. He reeled me in as I shifted into third, and then pulled like 4-5 cars on me. It was nuts, I wasnt sure what kind of car it was but I knew it had some *****. So I followed the guy off an exit, and he pulled into a Turkey Hill.
Turns out, my suspicion was true, this car had *****. It was an Audi S4, 2.7L V6 Twin Turbo AWD (I believe its a bi-turbo, but whatever, he said twin turbo). They rock about 320 i think. Right when he got out he was like..."what year is this...what have you done to this thing, its definitely not stock...?"(that made me feel good, lol) I just told him i had exaust, he thought i had gears since i launched hard on him. The new S4's(01+?, im not sure of the years) have the n/a 4.0L V8s from the A4's putting out about 340. The biturbo 6's were up to 99 or 00. Those cars are sweet. When we pulled into the lot, I was saying to the guy that his car was pretty fast, and he pointed over the lot to an S8 who was filling up, "thats even faster" he says, lol. He was a cool guy, I don't mind getting beat as long as the guy is cool about it. Audi's, you never know about them, they all look similar, you gotta be careful...

yes....Audi's are SICK. i saw a nice one last year up at the car show in Ocean City, MD. black with red checkered flag PAINT(NOT DECALS), and when he revved it...........NO turbolag whatsoever. it was sick. very sweet cars. Audi's are sleepers from hell. unless youre fairly well modded. good run though. too bad you lost. but, at least he was cool about it

 

not to be a ninny, but i hope you slowed down a lot from 120 to put it in second. i haven't run against any audis on the road. it's mostly bmw 3 series cars that are the ******** like you described. the kills are too easy to even bother wasting gas on now.

 

Yea I slowed down from 120 to about 50, lol. I think my tranny would have dropped out of the bottom of my car if i dropped it into second at 120.

 

He must have had some serious work done to his car if it was the 1999-2000 twin turbo. A stock V6 Mustang could almost keep up with it in the 1/4 mile. 0-60 that year S4 is a bullet but beyond that it runs out steam. Check out the 1/4 mile time and trap speed.

It's either a newer one (although from what i've found they didn't change much) or he had some serious work done to it. They didn't start having the A4 engine option until I think 2003/2004.

At least the guy wasn't a *****. Good run nonetheless.

A4/A5 Audi's are like BMW Series 3 Drivers...Every one I've come across are ****** and have something to prove. You could eat them alive though I know on the freeway I can keep door to door (V6 stock) until we hit top end then I squeak ahead. Never tried from a dig though[:-]

 

Wow, after looking at that, there's noooooo way he was stock. If he was running 15.1's, then I should have been right next to him or pulling on him. For some reason you're source and my sources are clashing. I've heard a lot more out of S4's than what you're saying.

 

I raced an Audi once. Turns out it was a teacher from my school...it was a TT from the 99-01 range..not sure but i remember seeing it in the parking lot when i was 8-9 grade and im in 12 now...But i beat him from a dig but lost on the interstate.

 

TT's suck. i hate 'em !!! and theyre ugly

 

S4's are sick. There whole motor is forged and can take 22psi of boost. the stock s4 runs 9psi of boost and puts about 300 to all four wheels. but with $500 for a chip the boost is increased to 14 psi and itll put like 350-360 to the ground which is about 400 to the fly.

The RS6 has a biturbo 4.2L V8 that puts 450 to all four wheels.
