For the record I thought those numbers sucked, andIdont really care. I was "tuning"...not doing it for a number.

To the guy whos woman wants him to get the Z28....your reaction should be a very good one!

The only track time I have so far was from a Lid/Cat-Back run with a 3600 converter&tires. Still on 3.23 gears. 13.1 @ 103 **The car is now a 6 Speed, Longtube Headers, Cam, Lid, ORY-Catback** Once the 4.10s are in I am hoping for 12.5s maybe...

Maybe you didnt notice I just swapped trannys. My 13.1 was on a stalled auto....now I have a 6 Speed. Have never been to the track on the 6 Speed and have nothing to go by. But hey...I hope I run better than 12.5 too. Maybe you Mustang guys are just conditioned for disappointment, but I would rather hope for 12.5s and have 11.9s then hope for 11.9s and have 12.5s....Just tell me what Cam/Bolt-On 4.6s run and I will subtract afull second fromthat number. [sm=thanx.gif]
well you have stick know, so hopfully u know how to drive............means it might actually take some skill to get down the track; Rather than just pressing the gas pedal.[sm=pcwhack.gif]

I have a 99 GT with a stock 4.6 block thats capable of showing you it's tail lights. What does this SS run at the track?

My 1/8 mile all motor time from yesterday is in my signature. I'm sure you could pull me pretty hard up top N/A vs N/A, but I'm not always running around on just the motor
ZW99 how much did it cost you to go that fast na? if i remember right your the one with the stroked 4.6 correct?
How much did it cost me to run my current N/A time? I don't know how to answer that. If I were just N/A, I wouldn't need a built S/B, rear end, clutch, or anything like that. I think I could make my car faster if I just concentrated on running N/A. ALOT of the money in this car is just to keep it in one peice when I'm on the 200 shot.

H/C/I + full bolt on + gear/tire and there you go I guess.

I hope to goodness your car runs quicker than 12.50's, even on street tires.

My 3k Stalled 98 Z28 ran 12.70 all day long. You should've been close to a 13.1-3 stock.

Now is not spelled with a K, so it looks like you might have to study grammar so you can find your Nitrous button. [sm=laughat.gif]

I agree that I should have been a little faster...but I dont know of very many STOCK 3,000 stalled A4s with factory 2.73s or3.23s that can pull 12.7s... Maybe with headers and gears as well...Nor have I seen very many STOCK A4s run 13.1...but hey...you ran strong...I would bet you were not STOCK other than the stall. If thats the case...you had a stall but you had a factory cat-back?...No lid?...No gears?... Who runs a stalled auto with no bolt ons?... [sm=feedback.gif]

built motor/heads/cams/boltons and either spray or boost.....

in my case its 10psi on twin screw happiness that leaves the LSx guys in the wake...that put me at 495rwhp

this spring im doing longtubes and 12psi....i really wanna be able to stomp some vettes....
at 495 WHP you better be taking anything but a C6 Z06, and even then if you have gear I would give you the race.

Seriously, why do people think it takes nitrous or FI to beat a stock LS1? if you can't outrun the stock/light bolton LS1 guys with boltons and gears (and d/rs) you need to learn how to row.
For what its worth, I was referring to more Z06's than anything else. New England is crawling with em in the summer and not too many seem stock. Before I was boosted I ran into a ligenfielter (sp?) corvette that pretty much turned into a tiny spec on the horizon before I could blink an eye....and now with the ZR1's coming out, its only getting harder to try and keep up with these cars let alone beat em....but now we're not even talking about LS1's anymore....Hell, stock LS1's are no problem...but like mustangs...who leaves 'em stock?

I'm also have stock 3.27 gearing and an auto....the shop recommended 3.55's when I was getting the heads/cams done but I've had no issues on the stock gearing. I knew I was going to want some big numbersbut wasnt sure if I'djust be melting tires all day with gears....do a lot of highway roll races and didn't want to see my top end suffer....especially in New England with gobs and gobs of built AWD turbo cars, EVO's, STI's, 3000GT's etc where the top end is whats important....
