Thanks. Will do! Do you know any good brands to get? How hard are they to hook up?
If you are asking about a/f guages, the one I had was the Dynojet Wideband Commander. It was awesome. I paid to have it installed and it looked like it was a pain in the *** to do. You could have it data log to a laptop, so you could chart your a/f ratio while you made runs. Very accurate too.

I'd highly recommend the Dynojet: http://www.widebandcommander.com/

Just to let you know I have more mods than you have listed and I got my car tuned by one of the best and I still only have 280rwhp at 10psi, so just to let you know I think your numbers are pretty high and not very realistic. And if your running 12psi for a daily driver on stock internals your pushing your luck, not saying it will not be fine but your getting close. If you want that kind of power you are going to have to go turbo!!!

I am just saying i know this stuff because I have expeirenced it first hand and I still drive it every day!!!!

I ran a Snow Performance meth kit on my 2000 Mustang GT Vert. I had a Vortech supercharger with no intercooler, so the meth was performing as a chemical intercooler. It's hard to tell what kind of power I picked up when it first went on because the last dyno I had before the kit was done at Modular Power House in GA. The meth kit went on at Kaufmans in PA whose dyno reads lower. I eventually did a pulley swap and ran over 400 rwhp on an engine that had 135k (stock block). I also had almost every other performance mod out there (l/t headers, etc.). I also run a meth kit on my STI, but they react differently in turbo applications.

One thing about chemical intercooling. If the tuner tunes the car to take full advantage of the added octane the meth provides and that sucker stops spraying for some reason while under boost, you've got about 2 seconds to get out of the gas before your engine is toast. A failed pump - a clogged nozzle - a busted line - all could spell doom. My tuner did not advance the timing to take full effect of the added octane the meth provided. He was under the "better safe than sorry" impression (Modular Power House wouldn't even install the kit - said it was a ticking time bomb). In fact, the meth system did fail on the guy I sold the car to while he was road racing it. That was the end of the engine.

In any event, set aside $500 or so for a good WIDEBAND A/F guage. It is one of your few defenses. Good luck.
and i was thinking on the meth injection crap, NOT ANYMORE [/blockquote]

Steelestang- Sure, the sixxer has forged internals, but an Aluminum block engine is of much better quality. Not to mention, your rear end will weaken especially if that S/C'ed sixxer is your DD. Launching the car hard will obviously do that, however, roll racing is just as hard on the rear end. You will still need to beef the rear end up regardless.

Now, about your tranny... correct me if I am wrong but the GT and the sixxer have the same trans, the GT's is a bit more beefed up though. If my trans is rated at 400lbs. of Torque, and the sixxer is rated less, what do you think will happen? Do these other people you talk about DD their S/C'ed sixxer, running on 14-15 lbs. of boost? the choice is yours. I am giving you my advice from someone experience with racing, and with mustangs, especially with your setup.
Ok actually the only thing that is forged in our engine is the rods and maybe the crank but I am sure about the rods. The block is stronger than that of a GT it is iron and basically a truck block. I have done some research on this and there are many threads about this too. I would never run 14-15 lbs of boost on a stock engine unless you have the money and time to replace it. Expescially a DD that is just crazy. I DD mine and it is at 10 psi I also just resently had the bearings replaced in mine cause they went bad. The tans are the exact same for a GT for the auto's. Manuals are different trans. As long as you stay under 350rwhp everything should hold up fine stock. I would get a Aluminum drive shaft tho!!! But to get to 350rwhp you should get a turbo unless you want to really crank up the boost on a stock car!!!! As i stated before I have 10psi and more mods than you listed and I am only getting 280rwhp!!!!

I had a Vortech and a 3.11 pulley and the most boost I saw was around 11-12 psi.

Mamba, just wondering whatperformance mods do you have over me(please post them)?Since no one likes reading my sig I'll post what I have:
-cai
-duals(jba's) w/h-pipe
-shorty headers
-t-lok
-4.10's
-aluminum driveshaft
-93 octane race tune
-throttle body spacer (lol)
-rear upper and lower control arms
That's for now, what I am definitly going to add:
-vortech h/o 10/11psi
-zabteck throttle body(10rwhp tuned)
-snowperformance stage 2 cooling kit (meth/h2o kit)
-gt-take off 17"bullits
-and possibly if I have money left over-power cables and livewires
From this info, the only hpmods I can think of that you might have over me when I'm done with this project would be the power cables and livewires, a P&P head, performance cam, hi-flow cats, longtube headers, and udp's(don't work with f/i apps's). From what I can think, if you had heads and cam you would have dyno'd near 400rwhp. So I can cancel that off the bat. Please post your hp mods, because if there is some you havethat I don't know about I want to know. I would like increasing myrwhp before I dyno as much as I can safely.

To help prove my hp guess to mamba, here is some info I found:
Few vortech h/o mustang dyno runs from this site and 4.0collective:
-hamidlmt-12psi-328rwhp/315rwtorque-automatic (hp related mods-shorty headers and duals)
-ronaele05-12psi-330rwhp/317rwtorque-automatic-(hp mods-hi-flow muffler)

-droptop6-10psi-315rwhp/xxxrwtorque-(duals, no cats, 20inch rims(less rwhp))

-screaminyellin6-11.3psi-317rwhp/314rwtorque-(duals)

Mamba, Do you still think I wouldn't be able to see 350rwhp on a dyno jet? It seems I could possiblyevensee it on mustang dyno with what I'm planning. I think the problem is the weight of your 20inch rims and/or something on your car/supercharger wasn't working right when you dyno'd. Or you could have had really bad dyno conditions and your engine's a heat soaker.

Horsepower is just a number that too many people get all wound up about. When I had my Vortech put on by MPH it dynoed 376 rwhp.

When I brought it in for more work at Kaufmans in PA it dynoed 350 something. Both were Dynojets. I was crushed. Then I drove it and I could feel the difference.

My suggestion is to do what you plan on doing, plus supporting mods to make sure stuff don't break and the power gets to the ground. You'll be happy - trust me.

Thanks!I know hp is just a number on a sheet of paper. The rwhp thing just bothered me. I guess it's a pride thing. I have a bunch of supporting mods already for the centri and traction. I still would liketo know whathp mods mamba may have over me so I can hook up my ride even more before I tune it and throw everything on.

Ok well let me think:
Mods:
JBA H Dual exhaust
JBA Shorty Headers
JBA wires
Loki Throtle Body 70mm
Vortech H/O Supercharger 10psi
Plasma Booster
Professionally tuned
SCT Tuner
Tlok
3.73
20's American Racing

Thats all I can think of at the moment. I am planning to do a battery relocation, along with canton coolant tank (goes where Battery used to) and a 03/04 Cobra Dual Pass Heat Exchanger. But I proably still will be low on HP, my car I guess doesn't like it.

Saying you hadmore mods than me and dyno'd that low scared me. Now I know that we're gonna have a pretty similar set-up once I am done(I need to get the tb,you need to get a aluminum driveshaft, etc). Just wondering what that plasma booster is/does?Thanks ahead for the help! And keep that sweet ride running strong!
