Eh the booster just a boost a spark or like MSD ignition. I don't know if it really does anything but it has green leds on it that light up........that's cool right[&o]haha. You know where I could get the hook up for an aluminum drive shaft that would be awesome.

Shaftmasters for $445. I don't know why the price is so high. I remember getting mine from them forunder $400 when they first came outand free shipping.

Powerhouse411 puts out an aluminum driveshaft too,I think it's a bitmore costly($550) and a little bit lighter(2-3 lbs). I have the shaftmasters and it's been perfect for thefew thousand miles that I have had it. My rev's are quicker accelerating and decelerating now, not to mention at higherhighway speedsI have no more body shake. Good Luck!

Thanks! No I don't care only about the hp #'s [:-]. I also want to see in the summer or early fall how fast my car is at the track. And I also wanted a f/i car (something out of the ordinary). Don't worry! I'll take down ricers here and there too. The hp thing is just a braggingright I would like to have. I here everyone talking how their C6's have 400hp and modded 335's have 380hp,it would be nice to say before stuff goes down that I am pushing around 400bhp+ you know?

I ran a Snow Performance meth kit on my 2000 Mustang GT Vert. I had a Vortech supercharger with no intercooler, so the meth was performing as a chemical intercooler. It's hard to tell what kind of power I picked up when it first went on because the last dyno I had before the kit was done at Modular Power House in GA. The meth kit went on at Kaufmans in PA whose dyno reads lower. I eventually did a pulley swap and ran over 400 rwhp on an engine that had 135k (stock block). I also had almost every other performance mod out there (l/t headers, etc.). I also run a meth kit on my STI, but they react differently in turbo applications.

One thing about chemical intercooling. If the tuner tunes the car to take full advantage of the added octane the meth provides and that sucker stops spraying for some reason while under boost, you've got about 2 seconds to get out of the gas before your engine is toast. A failed pump - a clogged nozzle - a busted line - all could spell doom. My tuner did not advance the timing to take full effect of the added octane the meth provided. He was under the "better safe than sorry" impression (Modular Power House wouldn't even install the kit - said it was a ticking time bomb). In fact, the meth system did fail on the guy I sold the car to while he was road racing it. That was the end of the engine.

In any event, set aside $500 or so for a good WIDEBAND A/F guage. It is one of your few defenses. Good luck.
and i was thinking on the meth injection crap, NOT ANYMORE [/blockquote]
this is why places like snow performance have the safe injection kit. a green indicator light comes on when it begins spraying and an amber light comes on if there's a flow problem. the kit then tells the computer to retard the timing if you don't get off the throttle fast enough so you don't blow your motor.

That wasn't an option when I bought my kit. I had a light that lit up when the pump activated and a low fluid level light. That was it. I did have it rigged do I could install a mechanical guage to read line pressure, but I never got around to installing the guage. Plus when you are blasting through the gears, it's tough to monitor 2 lights and two guages all at the same time. That option you describe sounds like a great add on. I wonder if it changed Tim from MPH's mind about chemical intercooling because a few years ago he was adamantly opposed to it.

Two other things to consider:

1. You should use a tuner who has experince setting up meth systems with a supercharger. There is sort of a science to it. You have to set when it first starts spraying (at what intial boost level) and when it should go to full spray and how much spray when it does go full. You also should run the exact same mix of water and meth that it was tuned on. I ran run of the mill washer fluid in the Mustang, but I mix my own for the STI.

2. Both Snow performace kits I bought had issues with the resevoir tank. They both leaked and one was flat out badly cracked. I hope they have improved quality control since then.

As a final thought, my Mustang had 135k on the clock when I s/c'd it. I didn't care if I popped the engine because it would give me an excuse to buy a forged short block. That was a big reason I went meth instead of a mechanical intercooler.

i heard about the tanks the snow kits come with. i just tapped my existing resevoir and ran it from that. held more than the snow tank too.
