Default Vortech V-2 upgrades?

Reposting this here from the boost/juice section b/c I haven't gotten many hits there and know not many people go in that section and know you guys must knowyou speed junkies must know somethingabout this.

Sizing out my f/i options and realized intercooled vortech's are the cheapest(under $4k)option for more than 320rwhp(I have an 05V6). The next intercooled f/i option is a $5.2k turbocharger so I am wondering some things.

1. What kind of upgrades can I do to make the vortech intercooler function better or create more hp per psi?
I know that I could get a bigger bypass valve for it but don't know if it that adds any hp. I already am going to upgrade the pulley to a 10psi or 11psi pulley. I here possible liquid injections(meth, other, etc)could give some power but don't know any kits that may work with the v-2 or if any do. Possibly a more efficientintercooler that's close to direct replacement. That's all I can think of, but I'm sure there's more.

I justwant to make sure if I go vortech it's the right decision and I have some upgradable options for it. If there aren't that many I may justsave a little morefor the turbo even though I dount I'll need/use400rwhp.My car is already sorta built for the centri/vortech(4.10's, t-lok, aluminum driveshaft(quicker revving)), soI hope there's some insight you could give me here. Thanks ahead for any help!

Don't know for sure, but if you want a Vortech centri. you might could research the YSi-Trim. I have read they don't need an intercooler, due to lower temps, but adding an intercooler would only help.

How is yourtranny going to like it?

I researched my auto tranny already and people were doing 1/4's for a whole season or morewith 400rwhp+ onthe stocker. I think it can handle 350rwhp easy reliably, probably more. Thanks for thetips! Do bigger bypass valves do anythinghp wiseor just makethe woosh sound louderwhen switching gears?

Meth/H2o injection will help any boosted car alot!!! Any generic kit will work for you. They just spray on the cold side of your intercooler before th throttle body. Also a Co2 intercooler sprayer will gain you quite a few ponies. I'm a big fan of turbo power so I'd just save a little more if I was you.

Thanks! Getting blown by May! 400bhp+ here I come! Just to inform you what I've pretty much set in stone to add to my repetoir of mods: Vortech H/O w/11psi pulley, GT Take-offs (hopefully with Drag Radials), Zabtech throttle body(10rwhp~), and hopefully some more goodies for the vortech like meth/water injection, mondo bypass valve, and maybe CO2 spray. I know I'llhit 400bhp b/c similar cars with me on 11psi and no headers make enough rwhp on the mustang dyno toequal about 400bhp. Add my headers, a throttle body, and somevortech goodies and I have guaranteed eclipsing it. GoodLuck with your SRT-4! I already seeit's modded nicely

Thanks so much for the help! I searched all over google and hear and came up with off topic results. Definitly looking into this! Thanks again and good luck with your little blue beast!

Just curious, what the usual gain for an 11/12psi intercooled application(vortech preferably w/their weird intercooler) with a snowperformancestage 2 boost cooler(meth/water injection)? Very curious b/c I hear these people on other sites gaing 40-60rwhp tunedon 16-18psi f/i set-ups. I was thinking it has to be at least worth 10rwhp(I've seen horribly made kits make 10rwhp), but I'd like to know a ballpark of what to expect before I purchase it. Thanks ahead!

I'd PM fazm or buckman. Those guys both have very quick boosted 6 slingers. I have zero experience with that. all the info I would offer would probably translate better to another sport compact owner.

May I ask why you plan on doing all this to a v6 stang? No disrespect, but why not start with aV8 platform, because in the long run you're just gonna end up spending more money to try to get the same results as if you started out with a GT. I'm sorry I guess I just don't understand the logic
