According to the link I posted they run a 13.6 - not enough to take a stock S197 Stang. But factory FI cars are so easy to make faster. When (if they haven't already) Dinan cames out with a new package for the new 335i, it will take FI on an S197 to surpass it. Take that to the bank.
They have run faster than 13.6. We had a track day in October and there were 3 335's there.
One guy ran a 13.2 with an auto transmission. We were all pretty shocked. Conditions werent exactly ideal either. I would say that a 13.6 is slow. I think they are closer to the low 13's.

Also, Dinans 335i package is weak in comparisson to Vishnu Tunings proceed.

+1, Vishnu FTW. Autos are known for better 1/4 times. Manuals (my brother is manual 6spd) are typically slower.

I too am a military man...I am in Germany right now. Sure BMW makes a great product, but it is a very expensive product. Even for people who live here. BMWs are great to have in the states because they are status symbols...but I am quite frankly tired of seeing so many here in Germany that I am ruined on BMW for life. Although, you should see how many looks I get with my $28K 2005 S197. No matter how much Germans or other Europeans may talk trash about American cars....there is quite a cult following for American muscle here.

Back to topic:

Cruise some BMW forums....and you will find that the 335i is really dynoing around 280-285 rwhp in stock form. That would lead someone to believe they are a bit underrated with their300 bhp.

I still think a Mach 1 has it...because from what I know, stock Machs also dyno in the 280 rwhp range, and the Machs have better 3.55 gears.

335s are terrible with the 60'. No LSD and run flat tires, they spin and wheel hop all day. You get a 2.0 60' with a 335 and you are the sh*t
Funny, you should say that. I saw a 335i Coupe go 13.09 @ 107 on a 2.00 60' just today. Not to sure how stock he was.
It could have had a chip (tune). However it had the stock exhaust and air intake (hood was open in the pits cooling).

yeah BMW really kicked it up a notch with that new motor. my dad has a 535i and that thing is insane for a big heavy sedan. Now all of the E46 M3 owners are pissed off because the 335i in some instances is actually faster! thats why BMW had to drop a V8 in the new M3
