John Force?
I know he is always talked about for how good a driver he is with the funny cars, but has he ever ran regular drag cars or street cars on the track to show his skills? Just wondering.

I think the OP is saying that it's likely he can't get into a normal everyday street car and get it to run to its fullest potential.
I would probably agree, but at the same time, I don't know anything about his background.
It makes sense though.

He did infact work his way up through the ranks and was in "regular" cars back in the day. However it has been decades since he has drag raced anything other than a F/C. I doubt he could just jumo into another car and dominate, his reaction time is tuned in for a car that goes 1-100 in about an 8/10ths of a second.

The cars he drives now are nothing like F/C, so I'm sure he might be pretty terrible his first couple times just getting used to the whole different type of car, like almost anyone would. But after he'd get used to it a couple of runs I'm sure he'd be able to run it at it's potential

I think one of the funniest things I ever heard was someone talking about drag racing a friend of mine on the street. He was like,
"I'm gonna smoke you like I'm Jeff Gordon."
I did not know what to say, so we just sat there wondering if we both misunderstood what he meant by a 'drag race.'
