Oh yeah, real close to the mid/low 13 second quarter mile time that you promised everyone you would get (BEFORE THE LONG TUBES)! [sm=grin.gif]

Whenever you get traction, are you gunning for low 13s?

Those times are way off. At the track here even at 1600' and 95 degrees supercharged S197s are running mid to high 7s.

Yeah and I guess the fact that I stalled 4 times before hitting the staging lanes (which before LT's my car never stalled), the fact I had a CEL on, and the fact my car is excessively ticking has nothing to do with my time either right?

Also the fact that a supercharged, 100 shot S197 was only running 8.9 to my 9.2 doesn't say much for track condition either does it?

Or the fact that a C6 Z06 was running a best of 7.9 which equates to a low 12 second run. This is for a car that runs 10 second 1/4's stock. But yeah, that doesn't say much about track condition either!

Also the fact I pulled a 2.1 60' with near bald tires doesn't also show anything

I'm still betting on low 13's when my car is actually running right, and I get new street tires (not even DR's).

But you're right, my video doesn't clearly show my car isn't running up to par. Would you like me to include the threads I made before I went to the track asking about the CEL's I was throwing, and about the issues I was having with my car? It's not like I ran my car, pulled crappy numbers, then made up excuses with fake problems. I was having the problems before I ran.

But thanks for playing

Thank you! That dude should have run MUCH better than me! I was neck and neck with him, than at the end he started pulling away. He said afterwards he thought I was going to beat him. He said he would've been pissed if my NA car would've beat his supercharged, nitrous S197!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Just don't be too disappointed when that doesn't happen.

How the hell do you figure a low 13 second pass?

How the hell not? My car should be running what I did this time stock! You're telling me with all the mods I have that isn't feasible? I'm almost fully bolted on. The only thing left is a TB/Plenum & Gears.

The TB/Plenum will only net me a few WHP if I'm lucky! The gears maybe a tenth or two. So people say a fully bolted on GT can run low 13's, high 12's........yet it's not believable that I would run a low-mid 13 like I've said all along?

You don't find it the least bit odd the other cars that night were running as crappy as they were too? You do realize that track condition can severely effect your track times right? And the fact that others were also running like crap says a lot!

That paired with the fact that I had issues means nothing?

Instead of Blah, blahing everything off, why don't you actually come up with some facts to back up your claimns, and some actual rebuttals to my statements made? Or are you one of those kids that spouts off at the mouth when they have nothing productive to say?

LOL!

Any NE GT that runs in the low 13s with no power adder, stock heads, and stock cams doesn't do it on street tires and stock gears. Have you heard of any verts that have run a low 13 with just bolt ons?

I've heard too many people say that "oh the track prep sucked" as if its all the track's fault that they ran a ****ty time. You ran your car when it wasn't 100% (as shown with the CEL light)....why the hell would you run your car when its like that?

Let's take a look at what you have said.

ORIGINAL: ripped camel

Yeah and I guess the fact that I stalled 4 times before hitting the staging lanes (which before LT's my car never stalled), the fact I had a CEL on, and the fact my car is excessively ticking has nothing to do with my time either right?
So you ran your car when its clearly not 100%....for what? To see what it can do when its running like ****, so you can just say "yeah well when I get it running right it should run _________" What's next, running a car with no third gear?

ORIGINAL: ripped camel
Also the fact that a supercharged, 100 shot S197 was only running 8.9 to my 9.2 doesn't say much for track condition either does it?
....and?

Or the fact that a C6 Z06 was running a best of 7.9 which equates to a low 12 second run. This is for a car that runs 10 second 1/4's stock. But yeah, that doesn't say much about track condition either!
YES! Because C6 Z06's run 10s all day everyday with any driver! You make it sound like that car runs 10s on average, when in fact the best ever pass was a 10.9, and that may have been with drag radials, not the stock street tires.

ORIGINAL: ripped camel
Also the fact I pulled a 2.1 60' with near bald tires doesn't also show anything
So you cut a pretty good short time with bald street tires....yeah, track prep sucked alright. [sm=grin.gif] What short time do you think you would have run if the track prep were "good"?

ORIGINAL: ripped camel
I'm still betting on low 13's when my car is actually running right, and I get new street tires (not even DR's).
Yeah, ok. Do you know how much power you need with a car that weighs as much as yours, especially with stock gears? A lot more than what you have right now.

no

I ran my car when it wasn't 100% because I planned it for over a month, and I didn't want to be "that guy" that always makes excuses why he can't race. My brother has been wanting to run me with his Titan since he got it. So we planned this day. My buddy with the LS1 I beat was supposed to show up too, but of course he became "sick" that night, even though he was fishing the night before

Point was even though I knew it was running like crap, I was told It was safe to run, but I might not run good times. So I went for the fun of it.

Still 7.9 is slow for a C6 Z06......you've got to admit that.

Maybe you're right, I'm not saying I know it all. I just feel with the cars I've beat, I can run those times. If after my car is fixed (hopefully this week), and I get tires I don't run a mid-low 13, I'll post up my times, and admit I was wrong. I'm not afraid to admit I'm wrong. I just feel I can pull much better times with a properly running car.

BTW, thanks for making your posts entertaining and not insulting

How did you fair against the Titan? I used to pick on them all the time in my Diesel... The TitanTalk forums are pretty funny, always beating GTs and the like... About as bad as the ChargerForums and LS1 tech guys, they never lose. Never.
