You have got to realize that your races were not the full, from a dig to a quarter mile races. You've had basically dig/low roll to 60-70 races. Just because you beat a low 13 second (at best) car on the street from a dig to 60 doesn't mean that you should run the same time, if not faster. A lot can happen once you go deep beyond 60 mph.

Very true. That's why I can't really say I know, until I actually run a 1/4. Until then it's mere speculation.

Here's the vid of me racing my brothers 05 King cab Titan. The only thing he's done to his car is advanced timing, K&N drop in filter, switched to RP oil. He did pretty good. He ran a best of 9.752.

This run was my first ever run with the stang. I did horrible, but still beat him. I launched way to light, bogged and was completely out of my powerband.....enough excuses, here's the vid
http://video.yahoo.com/watch/2737534/7964260

Sidenote....this vid was not my 9.229 run. I did much worse on this run [:'(] but atleast I won

If that video with the Titan is any indication of things to come I think low 13s will be adifficult trick to pull off.

I'm going to agree with every single thing that 99GTVERT has stated in this thread. Don't compare your times vs. what other people were running and then blame it on the track. 99% of people aren't going to run magazine times. Looking at some of the times you posted 7.9 in a C6 Z06 isn't that bad considering how bad most "rich" people drive. Take your visit to the track as a learning experience, don't get all pissed because your driving sucked.

Yeah but my driving didn't suck did it? I could swear that's a damn good R/T (and actually is one of my worse R/T's of the night), and my 60' was pretty good for near bald tires (which I can take pictures of in the garage right now to show I'm not talking out my a$$).

So with that how did my driving suck? If anything the car held me back.

And bluebeast, you're right.........but that was my first launch at a track ever with this car, and I pulled I think like a 9.6. It was BAD to say the least. It took me a few runs to get used to the track, and at the end of the night I learned to stay out of the waterbox on the last run, which coincidentally ended up being my best run.

Can anyone tell me looking at my numbers, where I'm going wrong. Does looking at the 60', to the 330', to the 1/8th show any info?

For example, if I had a crappy 60', but the MPH in the 1/8th is higher that usually means the car made up for my error. Any info in my numbers?

Why do you bring up the reaction time?

I remember the talk of a low 13 as the car sits.

My opinion is that it won't happen. But that's my opinion. You're the one that is going to keep trying, maybe or maybe not ever getting it.

However, bringing up all the 'my car is not running right' excuses does nothing.

Why would you even bother tracking it if it's running like hell?

Well without getting into the pissing match you have going with 99gtI'd say if you were really on thin tread tires a 2.1 sixty would indicate that track prep wasn't that terrible. Did you feel or hear it spin when you shifted into 2nd gear? Your 77 Mile per hour trap is a little puzzling though. I looked thru my old slips at the guys that ran in the 14.3 range like you would have at a 1/4 mile track and their mile per hour was higher going thru the 1/8. Not alot higher but a mile per hour or two better. I've never run my cars at the track with motor issues so I cant even guess where a leak would hurt the run. Your either broke or not making as much power as you think. Get everything fixed and try again.

99GTvert--- R/T shows I'm not clueless how to drag race. It's the point that I'm not pulling 1.0 R/T's. My R/T's are spot on.

72MachOne99GT---Read my previous posts, I explained already why I ran it not in perfect running condition. To elaborate on my previous answers, It's like pulling teeth to find people to actually diagnose what my issues are. I swear people live in caves, and think everyone else on the planet has no knowledge of vehicles! The crap these shops try to pass off as acceptable blows my mind!

BlueBeast---I felt & heard spinning on 2nd every single time, but not in 3rd. I'm going to get it dynotuned in a week or two after the exhaust leak is fixed, so then atleast I'll know what's wrong.

Anyone else have any input on my numbers?
