Okay so this is my first run with the stang, but definitely not my first time at the track.
Here was my best run of the night against a Supercharged S197 running a 100 shot!
ME S197
R/T: .086 VS. R/T: .310
60': 2.180 60': 2.375
330: 6.034 330: 5.938
1/8: 9.229 @ 77.51 1/8: 8.910 @ 84.89
So as you can see he ran pretty crappy, and should've annihilated me. But his times were typical that night. I saw C5 Z06's that couldn't break into the 7's, and 1 C6 Z06 that had a best of only 7.9! Everyone was complaining their times were off.
This was the day after I got my car back from the shop after switching from the catted x, to a catted H with BBK Lt's. My car had a CEL, and it still sounded (and still sounds) like it had an exhaust leak. At one point, I stalled 4 times while sitting in neutral in line waiting to get to the staging lanes. My car has never stalled since I owned it, so something is definitely wrong.
Here's a vid with the exhaust leak I'm talking about. I still can't figure it out. Check out the spacers the people put on my car between the K member & frame! They only did that on one side, and now my steering feels like it floats. I think they botched this pretty bad. Thoughts?

Was my 60' good with Falken Ziex 275's with minimal tread left? Critique away!
Here's the vid of me racing my brothers 05 king cab Titan. His mods: advanced timing, drop in K&N, and RP oil (not really a mod).

damn bro, that sounds like a nasty leak, i currenlty having on my SRT you can hear it and my wideband is way off at idle it reads out of range since there is oxygen getting tru and messing the air/fuel ratio. [:@]
I figured. My car is so low though that I can't get under it to see where it's coming from. I'm just going to have to go to a shop, and see if they can pinpoint it.
Besides that is my 60' pretty good considering my mods and tires?

What's a good 60' with my mods on street tires (non DR's)?
Funny thing is that was my best 60' of the night. Everytime I went in the waterbox, I pulled crappy 60's. My last run of the night, I decided to skip the waterbox, and it made a significant difference. So lesson learned = skip the waterbox

I may have missed it, is your car auto or manual?
Just for comparison, I went 8.8'ish when my car was completely stock auto. You should have A LOT left in it.
Def skip the box. You just get water in the tread and wheel wells. At least, on street tires.

5spd, and trust me I know I have a lot left in it.
I wonder if it was a combination of my car and track conditions?
There's no way that supercharged S197 with a 100 shot should've ran what he did, and the Z06's should've been breaking into the 6's, not hardly breaking into the 7's! I have no other explanation, because my R/T and 60' were decent, so I should've run atleast a high 8.

I cut a couple 1.97's on the stock tires, but nothing lower. Of course, I only went to the track once with the car stock.
A stock C5 ZO6 shouldn't be in the 6's....a mid 7 is a high 11 second pass typically. I VERY well driven C6 Z might bust a 6, but it'd be in ideal conditions and I'm not sure if it could do it then. They gain a lot of ground on the last 1/8 of the track.
