Wow does it ever stop with you steel...First it was a 300c if I remember right, then the Mach 1 and now an SRT-4.[:@]If you want to make the grown-up decision and you're 19 park your car, go to college, live on campus, and make something of yourself so you don't have to work like a dog. If your car is paid for in full then the adult decision on the car is to quit swapping it. If not then try making extra payments towards the principal and if you just flat insist on yet another car swap try trading for something that isn't on the top of it's respective food chain. there are plenty of decently fast cars with good gas milage for cheap with low insurance rates that don't attract attention.
BUT FOR CHRIST"S SAKE ENOUGH WITH THE WHAT CAR SHOULD I GET NEXT POSTS!!!![:'(][sm=headbang.gif]
Hey no 4.0's aloud in my thread, I left the section and haven't posted there in a while like a lot of you wished. So don't come into my threads or I will come back and share my opinions again which I know no one in that section wants.

PS-I go to college and work. I am just trying to save some extra dough so one day I can move out of the parentshouse and not have to worry about expenses which are costly.

First off MEGABITE me![:@]I post in here and read alot of race stories in here so dont start shat about a 4.0 guy offering an opinion about a non race thread in a race section, I'm 29 and still young but been through quite a few rough spots including 3 months of homelessnessso my advice might be helpful if you get over your attitude. and second I'm glad to hear you go to college and work but if you do the math down to per payment difference you might be suprised at how little it really is. the small things you can do to save that moneyare gonna be where you benefit, not gas savings per year cause you don't purchase gas per year. if you save $1k per year in gas is it really worth it if it is only 2 to 6 $s per fillup if you are still filling up 2 x per week. If you go to the movies 2x per month only go once and you've already saved at least oneto two weeks worth of gas savings.
The only reason I was being hard on you and giving you an attitude is because you jump on me like I'm ****ing five the second you come into my thread to give me advice bringing up my other **** in the past that has nothing to do with this. Cut the childish ****, if you don't like my threads or brainstorming then don't post in my threads. Brainstorming is what smart people do to make the best decisions for themselves. And **** Off! I'll post as many help me out/give me input threads as I want. You don'tlike it, blow me.

PS-I don't spend money that much anyway, about 95-98% of the money I spend is on gas and carinsurance.

I'll probably just end up keeping the mach. Likesome said, having a car with no mileage you know no one hasbeaten on it but getting a car with20-30k miles or more there is a possibilitythat car was ridden very hard. I'm gonna just ask for more hrs at work and if I'm not given any I'll find a second job.

Actually what he is saying is true Steel. He is just trying to help you cause most of us know from what we have seen. If you buy the SRT-4 you will just end up selling that one too and then you will have to make another thread on what car should I buy now. Just be happy with what you have. At 19 I had a mini van!!!! I went to school worked and lived on my own. Now I am 23 and have a vette because I worked hard, studied hard, and kept my mind on the straight and narrow. I never had to worry about car payments or that stuff cause it wasn't important at the time. Just keep what you have and be happy with it and in time weather it be a few years or 50 years you will get what you want.

But the previous threads in the past have everything to do with what he is saying and he isn't being childish at all. I believe it's the other way around. Besides he is not the only one that thinks that way boutchya.[]

This has already been said but: bottom line if you are trying to save $$$ you need to get a cheaper car, that grands you dont spend right off the bat. I get 25 MPG mixed driving a 3.55 geared 5.0, a Mach should be able to do that in the same conditions. If you are driving in stop-&-gotraffic, no car is going to get good MPG( realatively speaking.)

If the car is paid for, keep it. Shift before 2K , and try skipping gears, getting in 5th by 35MPH etc.... you know the drill. You must be driving a lot to be filling up twice a week. Buy a $1500 Taurus to daily drive if gas is that much, or get a better paying job. But you will not get a head buying another car unless it is cheaper up front, to insure, and drive. Also quit spending money on mods, thats part of the problem.

Ever consider waiting tables in a semi-nice restaurant? Anyone over 18 should be able to do it, and it beats the hell out of minimum wage.

Black Mamba-****, it must be me then if your mellow easy going personality thinks so.Your right, I'll just keep the car. I didn't say I wasn't happy withit, Isaid I couldsave for the future by trading downbut that isn't the right way to go atsaving for the future probably. Gettingmore hrs of work or a secondjob (waiter is a good idea, but do they have to declare their tips to to the government for taxes?). I'll ask my boss for more hrs and if he says he can't do it then I'll look for another job and keep doing good in college.

Thanks for thegas savingideas 94Blk5.0. Something I have always wondered is how low of rpm's should you stay steady at driving? I know afew people say don't go below 1500rpm's cruisingbut I am not sure.

Apologies to all I have pissed off and yelled at unnecessarily. [&o]

steel I drive a srt4 and I'm on here looking for a mustang. I'm also 19 and are in school so I know what its like going to school and working your *** off. If your honestly looking to save money I'd just keep the Mach unless an srt4 is really what you want. I get an average of 200-250 miles a tank and it cost me 35 to fill on premium. Thats the only half positive thing I could say. As for drivability and attention, not the best. Completely stock drivability will be fine but I don't believe that you will keep it stock being I bought mine with the same intentions, 10000$ later I have a 400 horsepower cop magnet. Idk man , get on srtforums and research alot and youll find every question you have about it. And the back seat is just fine to fit people in and so is the trunk. Good luck with your decision and feel free to ask any questions you have

Thanks. It'sprobably best to just get more hrs(which I now have) at my job. I increased my hrs per month by about 20 so I am probably good and this is the best thing to do.Thanks again for the info.

LOL on fitting people in the trunk, I guessI worded a question weird.

PS- I gotta stopreading stuff on here while at work, I keep working 5min, typing/reading mf30sec-1min, working 5 min, typing reading mf 30sec-1min.
