I few guys on here have run high 13's stock, and provided slips. Most do run low 14's like you said. It all comes down to driver. Every race is a drivers race. If you have a fast car, but drive it like shiit, you're most likely going to lose. A car can make up only so much for the drivers shortcomings. If you drive your car like an animal, and you're car is slow....chances are you'll be able to beat cars most people can't that drive the same car as you.

 

now this I believable.....i guess I did read it wrong and stand corrected. You have the perfect hp for a light to light race 1/8mile.........were the cts v and vette could of had traction problems

heres a perfect example.
this is my car with simple bolt ons vs. my friends 03 cobra.....he has bad traction on this run and has a bad time catching me.......is his car faster......yes.....how do i know?...i driven it. THis is a 1/8th mile track I think even with the bad traction he would of had me. In the 1/4 maybe lol


back on subject MIKE08 dont mean to discourage you it was just my opinion I keep my racing on the track so your top speed run vs a s197 could go any way I guess edge's do have better aero dynamics if you ask me

This site has been much better since the changeover, and the addition of new moderators. Especially the new mod in SS........He definitely cleaned this place up.

Glad we see eye to eye now Leo. People underestimate New Edge Mustangs because they have the 2v. Honestly when modded, they are quite strong in the bottom end. I seem to decimate things out of the hole, that I know should beat me. All the power in the world is only good if you can hook properly, without proper traction all that's left is a dyno queen.

 

Ain't that the truth.. I hate to even run anyone from a dig anymore on the street. fortunately you can get em' moving then race. People say the 4.10's are only good for dig racing but on street tires they help a LOT in roll racing. Most of my street races have been "roll off the line, then hit it" or "20-30mph roll" the 4.10's are great in those races... perfect for those stoplight to stoplight runs.

 

Ya, he's a republican, if you ever get to talk to Lisa, you can tell her some random guy from a mustang forum online thinks her grandfather the sh*t, lol.

Anyway, back to the subject, the driver is a very important part of any race. I've beating so many cars at the track that I should of lost to, but they where pulling like 2.4 60 ft's...lol, driver mod FTW!
