I don't know where you got "HATER" from. No one called BS on ur kill. I honestly didn't think the '00 GT's had 240-250 to the wheels. I thought that was at the crank. If that's the case...I stand corrected...good kill!

New Edge GT's have gone high 13's bone stock with really good drivers. His mods would be good for up to a half second improvement if he can drive it well. Now think of all the stockish S197's you see at the track running high 13's and low 14's..........then you'll see why I have no doubt this guy's car could take an S197 the way he said he did. Plus his car has a slight weight advantage.

I don't see what's so unbelievable about it........it's not like he said he put 4 car lengths on the other guy. In fact, a bad driver in the same S197 he raced would have made the OP's margin of victory much bigger.

Ahhhh well.....fo-get-aboutit.

He has gears too dude. I've seen an 02 GT with full exhaust and 4.10's go bottom 13's with some really good driving. Those gears really wake up the car's performance. It does the same for our cars too.

you don't have to ride around with a vid-cam, we believe you (I do at least). lol. after some of my stories and the feedback I get.. anything can happen in a street race. it doesn't really need to get broken down to the smallest level like what happens in these s/s forums but it's hella fun watching the replies and discussions! Keep posting them up bro!

Oh...'and I've never lost to S197 manual.. or auto as a matter of fact. At the strip on on the street. All had CAI/Tunes..one even had LT's. Wait..I did lose once...he was packing a procharger.

I agree with johnnyv...most guys can't launch a manual w/o DR's.

I can fix that problem for you

But back to the subject, I do believe he can beat a stock s197. For two reasons, one, the driver makes it or breaks it. I was beat a bolt on s197 GT when I was STOCK. Turned out he was shifting around 5800 when he had a brenspeed tune where the redline was moved to 6500... Second, I've also seen stock GT (mostly autos) trap from 99-101mph on avg, at the same time I've seen bolt on new edges trap the same speeds.

You'll need DR's to do it. Without 'em you stand no chance. You'll sit 'n spin and I'll be gone. Unless of course you're one of the rare drivers who can consistantly launch a manual without DR's.

Manuals do have the advantage of being able to launch at high rpms...but you'll need DR's to hook...auto's..well, we need a T/C and DR's.

I will admit this...stock vs stock..a GOOD drive in a manual will beat a good driver in an auto...due to the fact they can launch harder. I have yet to meet one at the track or on the street though.

As you can see my "stock" time below w/ my 60ft, traction is not as a big of a deal as you may think (even though DR would be nice). You don't live near Atco, New Jersey do you? LOL, there a very nice track there... I'd be more then happy to show u my rear

I don't see why people doubt he beat an S197?! Sure they have more power stock, but they also have more weight. That plus the fact he mentioned the S197 had a passenger equates to more weight. I feel that with his mods he should be a dead heat with an S197, win going to the better driver.

Mike08 get used to people calling BS on your kills. It's part of the territory with racing. I've been called out on so many of my kills, but then when I finally got dyno numbers people stopped calling bs. Video is the only way for you to force them to put their foot in their mouth.

I'm gonna start taping my runs, then posting about the kill but not yet posting the video, Then after the few come out to call BS.........post a link to the vid. It'll be fun.
