I was just wondering if it was true or not. If it is true then the previous owner must have also got it tuned to take the governer off or something because it definetly goes over 112!

Sorry to burst any ones buble. But the 2000 and up to 2005 eclipse top out at 155mph. And the GT only has 200hp and the GTS has 205hp.
The mods for a mustang cost pennys to what the mods cost for an eclipse.
Not to be rude or anything but a V6 mustang gets walked over by anything on the road.
The only way a eclipse wins over a V8 mustang is if the eclipse is rolling but the mustang will win of the start from a stop.
And never herd of an MI-Tech but i do know they have a sportonic transmition. Witch alows the eclispe to shift from one gear to another like a manual but with out the clutch.
It is not an automatic transmition since the automatic only alows you to shift up to 3rd and not up to 4th.
The eclipse is a high mantainice car.(cost more to keep it going then it is worth)

I raced a previous generation Eclipse GT at the track... he ran 16+ seconds... wasn't even close.
And... not all V6 Mustangs get walked by quite everything on road...

This was a funny thread.
Lot of of you guys sure hate Eclpises.
They can be quick though my Eclpise is going to be pretty snappy once finished. 300WHP.
But i LOVE my mustang.
Both are fun.
