Can anyone tell me how much HP the new body style Mitsubish Eclipse GT would have. I would say that Eclipse was atleast a 2000 but I would say it was newer than that. But I raced one today on 664 in VA from about 70 to 110, I will admit I lost but he never really did pull on me that much. I started on his rear so I already had that disadvantage, but from what I say he only got about a car on me until we stopped at about 110. So I was just wondering how much HP this car has. I don't know if it was an auto or manual. But I have a 2000 Automatic V6 Mustang, with a Flowmaster Dual Exhaust, a CAI, and a 73mm Mass Air Meter. So just wonder what else I would need to do to keep up with one of these, because he didn't have me by much.

i owned a modded 2000 eclipse GT. They are slow as ****.... but yea it would beat a auto v6 mustang or it atleast would be close.... the eclipse weighs less and has a 205 hp v6 stock. yea they are really slow tho... thats why i got rid of it

yea that is true...i ran up against the eclipse gts (i THINK thats what its called, not the gt, but the fastest 4 cyl version) and i beat him. it was one of the newer 2000-05 body styles. (i know nothing of eclipses so lol)

something else to consider, your V6 is governed to 112...the 3.0L mitsu engines are good for 140ish stock. i have a car with a very lightly modded GT auto drivetrain, running about as fast as the GT manuals, and ive had my car up around 130 on numerous occassions. his advabtage would be moreso on the top end, and would you have had a stick, from a stop or slow roll you would have had a much better shot, but once you get to the cutoff, it would be over.

I saw an older eclipse gsx or gst whatever. awd turbo with the big turbo wing. he ran 10.2 in the 1/8 mile. I couldnt believe it. My stang ran 9.5 bone stock. Sorry , dont know what those times are in 1/4 mi.
