Don't feel too bad. I think the majority of cops are idiots. I got a ticket for racing that was total BS as well. Apparently, when cars all stop at a red light, then accelerate normally when the light turns green, and this process is repeated as we catch red lights on every block, that equates to racing. Like I said, idiots.
Good luck in court, maybe the idiot will forget that a court date means he has to show up.

It's only hate for the ones that deserve it. And in my experience, it is most of them. I have only met a handful of cops that aren't douche bags. (And no, I am not saying that about cops that have given me a ticket, a couple of them were all right and just doing their job - others clearly suffered from the Napoleon complex.)

On a side note, my friend got pulled over in his Cobra because he accidentally downshifted from 5th to 2nd coming off an exit ramp. Cop said he was provoking a race w/ the car beside us by revving at him....

I heard that cops can't give you a ticket for racing or do anything about it if you don't admit to you. It would go like this..."Son why were you racing?" and you say "Sorry officer I don't know what you're talking about." That's it lol. And by the way...you get caught racing here in Fl you lose your ride and go straight to jail...no small ticket here.
they said if i was in Orlando i would be going to jail. i very nicely replied " for what? i wasn't racing, why would I go ti jail for something I didn't do." he wasn't the one writing the ticket.
the penalty is 500$ and 2 months in jail. the cop knows he is in the wrong. my dad called him ever day for a week took the dude a month to call him back. i was a minor at the time it occurred.
Yes the benz was pulled over same charge, he said" i was encroaching on his lane, so he accelerated to get away from me." what bull right. he was trying to get me to race.
