He said he was running a stock SRT-4 engine and a stock turbo..... can you spike 19psi with the stock turbo? If so, wouldn't you need fuel upgrades, etc? Just sounds to me like that Neon was running a good bit more than regular stock parts/tune to me. Good run though! I watched a really old Neon run high 11s the weekend before last. Pretty cool imo.

OP, you've got one sick set-up btw.

 

My buddy's '03 Stage 1 is spiking 20-22 on the stock turbo, and has no fuel upgrades.

 

If you max out the stock turbo it'll spike in the 21 PSI range. Run in the 17 psi range and fall of to 15 psi above 5500RPMS. I did a best of 13.4 on street tires at about 105 with a maxed out stocker with no other mods.

 

Thanks man! Well he said he had something for fuel upgrades... bigger injectors and something else... I don't know much about these Neons. And he said he would spike at 19 but by the time he hit redline he was closer to 14psi so that seems to be fairly accurate based on what the other guys in here are saying.

 

thought you were in VA for a second there. We have an older model neon, gray, ugly, running around here with a srt swap. I was behind him one day while he was going from stoplight to stoplight gunning it. His front end was all over the place, and I swore I heard the bov sounding off. Sure 'nuff, it had the swap done.....

Good kill!!! That must be one quick neon. As for the stealthy Vortech V2, yeah right. I got it to make my car sound like a sleeper. It sounds like a group of mating crickets.
