Eh, I think it just helps with missed shifts....I have read about guys picking up .3 in the 1/4 with a proshifted tranny, but that's b/c you can powershift every gear w/o much of any problem. The tranny I just got has a pro 5.0 with it...so I won't have any experience with a stock shifter...of course, they come stock with a hurst, as I think JD's 6 speed did as well.

Got here two days ago. Hopefully it'll be in before the end of next week. I'm just gonna run it as a 4 speed until the warranty is up on it. Anyone got some money for gas for me? [8D]

I have to use a clutch though...just a little, but still, must use it. Foot firmly on gas, tap clutch, jerk in gear.

It came with a Mcleoud Revlok clutch.

Yea mine cam stock with a Hurst but it was junk, I put in a B&M Ripper right away, I doubt the car was any faster but I never miss gears and it feels much more solid. A proshifted trans will help time due to reduced drag (basicly no syncros) and being able to power shift with out worrying about breaking the trans (although I power shift all the time and have had no trouble with my stock T-56..yet)
