You know, now that you mention those items, I do remember those other additions except for the throttle body. All that and only rated with 5 more horsepower. Do you must Bullitt owners consider them underrated in stock form? I see no reason why Ford would underrate them except for maybe at that time they were still dealing with the fact that the '99 Cobra's made less power than they were suppose to.

Yes, according to members from IMBOC.com, many owners found that Bullitts were actually producing roughly 280bhp from Ford when they dyno'd their B's.

@ Stone-Your Mach also has a higher redline. My lil 2v doesn't even redline at 6k. Next time I'll just bounce off the rev limiter. I think I'll see the guy on Thursday so I'll ask him what his 4th rings out to.

Speaking of redlines, I have a SCT tuner, whats the highest I could raise my limiter without blowing it up? Or should I just leave it alone?
True, the Machs have a 6800 rev limit. As far as bumping your limiter up, I would look at some dynos of other Bullitts with your mods and see where the power is dropping off. I can't imagine a 2v still making power over 5800 or so.

Bullitts only have 5hp more...The engine is completly the same except for the manifold, and if your engine has slot of miles it will not produce the same hp... When I had my 04 I ran Plenty of new edges with similar mods and I pulled most of the time due to them having a tired engine. And btw bullitts "suspension" is not a WHOLE lot better than a reg gt...

I don't care if Bullitts have 5 less HP or 20 more than a GT. They are still badass, imo.

yep, because one car that had "high" miles that wasn't taken car of speaks for all other motors with high miles?

Like my 160,000+ mile 302 that made 321rwhp and 337trq when people told me i wouldn't make over 300 eh? It trashed all the main and rod bearings a month later too..... so SUPER TIRED eh?

bet it would have made 400 with fresh bearings and rings HUH?!?!

I always LOL at the old "tired" engine theory. I know people with 100K+ on the stock short block that whack it with spray and run 10s. Go team.

I agree. Unless the engine/trans is actually acting up, knocking, smoking, skipping, sputtering, something... it really makes no difference. Thats with a well maintained high mileage car of course. There's just as many neglected cars out there that are all out of whack by 100k.

Of course then you have the old 10 bolt... glass...breaks when you sneeze on it..yet some people have cracked 10s on them and they refuse to break. lol Definitely hard to throw blanket statements when it comes to engines... too many variables.
