Yea preciate that s8er.... These driveshafts are starting tl be known for sucking. Theyre not really breaking.... But twisting apart. Even a ds loop qont help a lot cause theyre coming apart in the middle... Not the ends. Im going with the same shaftmasters umit my dads running. 500-600 bucks! Next mod on the list probably!

Look how it just literally twisted apart at the splines. The ds loop mighta helped on this one, still might be worth gettting until I can afford the aluminum one.

Well, more then Id like to see, for sure. Less then 10 Ive heard of from other forums, and supposedly its getting blamed on getting rid of the limiter and exceeding that 115mph limit. Apparently the shaft isnt built for those speeds, which is bs. We have the same trans and rear as the gt's, but weaker shafts.

No apparently put a cheap 1 piece unit on some v6 cars.

I'd check into either an aluminum one piece or seeing if a GT drive shaft (heavy as hell, but they hold) will fit...

watched that vid, S8ER. Same crap happened to me in my S197 after dropping a ton on an aluminum spydershaft. Damn thing came apart at the front yoke (145 mph) and knocked my drink out of the cup holder. Had to call a roll back.

Car sounds quick for how stock it is. It's all in the driver. I know I would be upset if I still had my NE. lol.

I'm ready for winter to pass. I'm ready to get some tires and make a couple meets.

I cant wait to see your wrongwheel beast in action. You have it all buttoned up now?

Yeah, I saw that thread. Good times. Yeah, my car is pretty good. Still could use a final Tune and tires but that's it. Fwiw on 29 PSI on the previous Turbo it didnt spin at all in 3rd..on the new Turbo on 26 PS it spins to red line, any speed in 3rd. Need tires to turn it up...
