Got my car back, replaced the window motor, spent two hours cleaning it after it sat in that nasty *** lot with the window down....just glad to have her back home. I won't even go into what all was said. I was pissed, lets just leave it at that.

Get this, that jackass wanted $414 bucks to replace my window motor!! It took me 30 mins, almost broke my thumb doing it, but still, lol.

Checked my trans fluid again, its cherry red, no bad smell. Talked to another Camaro owner as well, he had the same problem with WOT shifts into 3rd. He said he tried everything. ended up doing a Trans-Go HD2 shift kit and returning his shift points/pressure back to stock and it fixed his issue. He claims that tuning is not a good substitute for a shift kit. Worth a try or no?

i try and tell people this all the time but tuning is NOT a replacement for a shift kit. only thing i'd do as far as tuning is shift points. upping the pressure with a tuner so you can get firmer shifts is begging for trouble. i say try the trans go. would want it when you build your trans anyways so might as well give it a shot.

I agree with you 100%, Greddy. I'm going to get up with my tuner and have him de-tune the line pressure. The trans-go can be installed without dropping the trans, right?

^ should be, just drop the valve body. I did mine with the trans out of the car when i did my converter, but everything i did could be done with it in the car. just a pain if you dont have a hoist lol.

No hoist for me, man. Everything I do is on the pavement with some 8" rams....

So drop the pan, valve body, then it's pretty straight forward?

414 bucks for a window motor? They take 30 minutes tops. Once you do it the first time it's cake.. Drilling the initial access holes takes more time than the replacement. What a crook!!!

Exactly Skater! I drilled straight thru the Fiberglass wall and the rivets popped right out. Ended up making one big hole in the fiberglass so I could get my fingers on the new bolts that hold the new motor in. It looks like a nightmare until you get the idea, then it becomes cake like you said. Motor with a lifetime warranty cost me $49!

yup, follow the directions and make sure you triple check everything before you put the valve body back on.
