dont spend the money twice, just get a conservative stall, like 2200-2800rpm max.
I would be more worried about your rearend with dem drag radials and stall..... but who knows, probably will live just fine behind a auto. 6 speed would kill the rear end quick I bet

idk man, dunno chit about them. I've heard good things about yank just around the forums, but don't think I've even heard of revmax...... but I don't know them camaros
idk, probably 3000 would be better with the LSX's. I keep thinking how un-rev happy my motor is, even with good heads/cam/intake I shift at like 5800-6000.

I ran a 3600 in my 98 Z28, then dropped down to a 2800 and ended up putting the 3600 back in, lol. That was a different me back then though. This time around I'm trying to keep that nice balance of having both a street and strip car, if that makes sense.
my buddy just got a 3600 yank for his build. that's got a pretty large cam tho so it's needed. imo go big on the converter. 4.6's only rev to 5800 stock and yet everyone suggests 3800+'s for stall size. i have a 4k in mine.
The FTI 3600 my buddy put in his T/A worked like a charm!!! From a roll or dig that thing picked up like crazy but on the dyno the converter was a little loose not fully lockin until 39-4100.
IMO tho id just do it once get the good coverter and 3200-3600 then be done with it. Have your 60's down that much more. 5 off your 1/4 and add that 1-2 mph to your already killer trap and **** off all those full bolt on tin can LS1 cars with your full weight street car!!! Lol

Well, change of plans. My tuner is dragging his damn feet too much. I called Thursday to get the ball rolling. He didn't call me back. So yesterday, I just so happened to be dropping off some marble for a client (I work for a marble/granite importer/distributor) that is located literally around the corner from my tuner, so I dropped by to chat. I made sure he had all my info, etc, and he said sure, I'll get right on it. I am not one to drag ***, can't stand waiting, etc....so when he didn't call me again today, I decided to go another route and trust a local builder. The guys shop is about a mile from me. He and I talked for awhile today and after telling him what I wanted and hearing what he had to say, I agreed to let him build it. He backs his builds with a 3 year warranty, etc. He's going to go ahead and tear into it to see what's going on, but regardless all of the clutches, sunshell, etc, will be upgraded to hold. He asked me what size stall I wanted, but I just told him to get me quote on the build first, then I will make a call on how much more I want to spend on a converter. It is still covered under my warranty, but I'll have to pay the difference between OEM parts and the upgraded stuff, which is fine with me, I just want it to hold. God I hate 4L60Es...
