This morning on my way to work my dreams finally came true. I have been waiting for the right situation to present itself for 4 months now. Stoplight, no other cars around. I have had some other opportunities in light traffic before. But, I chose not to take the risk. This morning I noticed another 2010+ GT behind me and when we got a red light my heart started racing. He pulled up beside me and I looked over at him. He was all smiles and gave me that look like "yeah, we're going to race". Then I looked at his GT emblem on the side and realized it was a 2010 4.6 GT. He sounded stock, but I didn't care either way. GREEN LIGHT, I slammed the gas hard enough to get out of the hole and didn't get any wheel spin. However, I shifted into 2nd a little early at 5k. Flogged it through 2nd and 3rd and put two car lengths between us before I shut it down and coasted into the next light. I could have done a lot better but I was happy with the outcome. Gave him a thumbs up at the next light where he turned. I wish it was an SS camaro and not another mustang. But, it was a great way to start the day!

Nice kill as expected!! You have a 97 HP advantage stock to stock over the '10 GT, not to mention much better transmission gearing!

Nice kill! My very first kill was a Trans Am LS1. I've been dying to run a 5th gen, if that's what you mean by SS. I've run into three LS1s, but not a 5th gen. I was chasing down what I thought was one but it turned out to be a V6. I've run into a few 05-09 4.6's. I basically live in an area where the pickins are slim and modded cars are rare, it's usually just exhaust. There's always a quicker car!

I hear ya.
I raced a bigger brother(427 AC Shelby Cobra) and a bigger non-brother(new Viper), and got spanked. The new Vipers are rockets on wheels.
