Anybody know what a T/A with a lid, cutout, longtubes, and cat-back will run? its an 03 T/A not WS6, its got the 6-speed and its on street tires... as far as everything else i believe the rest is stock... i was gunna run it but i broke a rocker-arm and maybe bent a pushrod so i was just wondering what it would run...

 

last year for trans am was '02 i thought. all the bolt ons put you in low 13s, high 12s i would think.

2002 was the last year. The street tires will hold him back, but I believe JD1969 was approaching mid 12's with similar mods. They can do 13 flat stock.

 

something to keep in mind is that most cars don't run what they could possibly run due to many factors, the driver being a big one. so just because someone has XYZ, or even a stock car, that doesn't mean they're running anywhere near the car's fastest possible time.

 

^^ exactly! just cause a 99+ GT is capable of a very high 13. it's been done. low 14s have popped up a lot too completely stock, but most people only run a mid 14 with them.

 

I went a best of 12.5 @ 110 mph with the following.
BFG drag radials
Lid
Maf
Cat back
Lower Control arms
My average times with those mods is 12.7 @ 109 or so. Headers add a good bit but the street tires are going hold this particular car back, launching the 6 speed cars is tough even on a DR. My guess is that this car will run 12.9-13.2 givin a decent driver.
