Does anybody know the specs on a Type S Corolla? I dont know the year, but it was pretty new.

 

slow. my friend has one and drives it like it's a race car. weaves in and out. it's such crap!

 

I was pretty sure of that. I was slowing down for a light last night not paying attention and he took off. I caught up to him at the next light and he acted like he didnt want to race. We were in a section with 4 lights pretty close so on the last one we were lined up again, so I jumped on it. I thought he didnt even try because he was in my blindspot, so i let up then I saw a reflection of light off his car. By the time I shifted to 3rd he was behind me, quite a bit I might add, not sure how many CLs, though. I wont qualify it as my first kill in my V6 stang. Not sure if he was ready for the start or not, but he did try to keep up.

maybe.. my old 98 v6 would beat up on my friend's corola. that doesn't say much for him.

 

They are so slow. I drove one when I worked for a Toyota dealership and man was that thing pitiful.

 

It's not built to be fast. It's got the same 130 hp engine in it as the matrix and (140 hp) Celica GT.

It's built for economy. However, the Corolla XRS has the Celica GTS engine (with 170 hp) & 6 speed manual, it'd give me a good run for the money.

 

yea its slooow...its not like the type S rsx which will put a hurtin ona stock v6 stang. you could easily take it, auto or manual
