lol, V8 Camaro's haven't run 15's since the TPI was ditched! LT1's are low 14's-ish, and LS1's are high 13's-ish. Plus, you have to consider that specific output will be greater on the 4 because of the DOHC 16 valve layout, not to mention that Cavalier's weight probably a good half ton less than a Camaro. Still, if you have a good running 5.0 GT (I can't tell by your sig for sure) you really shouldn't have too much of a problem.

wow man, your estimate must be for one handed manual transmission drivers on the LT and LS1's lol

the last time i was at the track, there was a newer 03?ish z24 with an intake, and exhaust,, nothing more than minor bolt ons, and i believe he ran a mid 15,, something around 15.4??

not good on the whole, but for the car i was surprised
a Cavalier,, i mean cobalt is another story

lol, his car is practically stock, those mods aint gunna make much of a diff maybe 30hp.... i think hes bs'ing if a 4cyl could run 15's stock then how come u dont see civics stock running 15's or any other 4 banger
Those mods will net more like 5 hp.......not even close to 30. They are slugs......end of story. I don't think 15's are possible.

nissan makes good little 4 cylinders, well back in the day they did. I own a nissan 200sx se-r additon, and those little cars with the sr20 are pretty quick. when i was stock, I pulles a 15.4@ 89mph. They were very under rated. Now when nissan went to the qr25, talk about a joke. So yes, they make alot of 4 bangers runnin mid-low 15's

Well, regardless of what you might think or believe, 15's most certainly ARE possible. And the 2.4's that came in those cars absolutely LOVE nitrous too, so it's cheap as stink to make 'em quick. I run low 13's @ 103-105 in mine with nothing more than a clutch upgrade, an exhaust cutout, and nitrous. My personal best is a 13.303 with that setup.

So you're saying a stock 98 cavalier is going to hit 15's?? Just making sure I'm hearing you right.

I don't see why not. If you read my first post, you'd see I ran 15.4's in my '99 Z24 in bone stock trim (unless you count airing down the front tires to 26 psi as non-stock).

Yeah but that is in Z24. For all we know it's a base model 98 Cavy.

Oh, yea, that's true. If it's a base '98 5 speed, you're looking at high 16's at best. If it's a base auto, 17' or 18'd for sure. Even Auto Z24's have a hard time breaking into the 15's in bone stock trim, although they're usually pretty close. A good set of tires and a shift improver kit usually does the trick there.
