the last time i was at the track, there was a newer 03?ish z24 with an intake, and exhaust,, nothing more than minor bolt ons, and i believe he ran a mid 15,, something around 15.4??

I am home now looking at the slip, the guy had a z24 with an intake and partial exhaust, he ran a 16.4@87
i don't believe that a stock z24 is gonna run a 15 now.

Don't go by one person at a dragstrip, he may not have known how to drive.
As I said, my buddy ran a 15.4 with only a basic catback and K&N filter. Which for HP mods, is virtually nothing. On top of that, I was right next to him every time we raced.
So that's two Z24's that run at least 15's. I drive a GT and could really care less about how fast a crappy, econobox Cavalier is.
I'm just telling it to you guys straight, it's just the way it is. If the person can drive, a Z24 is more than capable of at least a 15-something.

I "street raced" from a red light a z24
and he said he had intake and exhaust on it.
and I even gave him the jump and I launched at idle rpms... and he was in my review mirror in
literally like 3 seconds lol. I had 3 buses on him like NOTHING.
I just blew his doors off, wow.
but he was a very nice guy, it was fun.
^so that should tell you what he was running... in compare to me.
