I have a friend with a 2004 STI. He beats me hands down from a dig or a roll. His car is stock. You have a hell of a car.
STI's are really nice cars.
My story will be different after the car comes back from the shop (I hope)....

]I also have a costumer with a 2004 Cobra stock that wants a run with me this summer. It will be interesting how close I can get to him....My car should be ready in 2 weeks. They are painting stripes, louvers and mirrors. I have a dyno run scheduled in a month from now. I'll make a little video. Can't wait!

Yeah well when you get one....come find me i will be waiting! HAhaha I will say that sti's are quick, no doubt, but people who have them and evo 8's think there cars are 10 times faster than they really are! Everyone around me has that or a form of awd.
I think i might get a plate that says awdeatr....well after motor swap. As of right now i have only lost to one sti and hes running 22psi plus a ton of mods.... besides spend 35,000 on an sti+mods or spend 35,000 on a GT and mods........GT>STI
