Camaro Kill... more inside
I found this post through a google search. I have had 3 TransAms, a 1997(final year) LT1 stock Auto, and a 2002(final year) LS1 stock 6spd. I have raced both several times. The LT1 ran solid 14 flats. The LS1 easily ran mid 13's all day. The LT1 came stock with 285hp. a ram air LT1 has 305hp. A LT4 (firehawk) has about 320hp. The GM LT4 Conversion Kit (for LT1) is guarranteed 425hp. LS1 are 305hp stock. and RamAir LS1's are 325hp. LS6's (Z06 & CTS-V) are 405hp. ALL ARE FACTORY UNDERRATED. Any questions, PM me, lol.

As far as whether or not the Ram Air models actually made more power is up for debate.

The RamAir cars have 25hp more over the non-ramair cars. But only at speed, from a dead stop, theres no forced air into the engine. Also if you look at a Camaro & TransAm side by side, the TransAm's Ramair box is about a 1/2" higher that that of the SS. The power difference is so little you cant tell.

Hasnt there been a few things written on how RAM AIR on the T/A, Camaro and Mach 1 doesn't really work for anything??
