I have to agree with the GT guys...i've never seen a stock LT1 trap 104 or even heard of it. 104-105 is LS1 territory stock, so saying a lt1 runs 104 is saying stock for stock a ls1 isn't any faster. But with bolt-ons it can easily trap that. And a LT4 is a strong f'in motor...there's a vid somewhere of a stock lt4 pullin a ls1.
Stock vs Stock a LS1 > LT4. The LT4 is between the LT1 and LS1 keep in mind that the LS1 is under-rated where as the LT4 rating is pretty much right on.
As for trap speeds a stock LT1 at it's best may see 101mph. Auto LS1's usually trap around 104-105 M6's are usually around 105-108mph.

My g/f and I both hit a best of 105 in our stock LS1 Camaros, and that is faster than we were expecting. While we both have autos, I don't think that even a manual LT1 in stock form would come within 1 mph of that. Not trying to be cocky about my "plastic fantastic" motor (I lusted after the LT1 Z28's in the 90's), just being realistic.
I remember my first race against a 1999 WS6 in my 1996 Firebird Formula. I thought that my CAI and exhaust would help. Well I guess it was close for a couple seconds then he got traction.

You definitely ran into LS1's with poor drivers. You aren't even near 250rwhp and there's no chance with equal drivers that you can hang with a 290RWHP + stock LS1, be glad you ran into crappy drivers

carlenghts, we went to about 80-85
i also raced an lt1(from a roll) and beat him and a 96 vette(dig) it was very close but @ around 60 i started pulling on him
so right now LS1>me<LT1 [8D]
