I love the Cobalt comments!

Only on Mustang Forums can a 14.5 @ 100mph Cobalt be called slow but yet a 14.5 @ 99mph GT be called fast.

And by te way the Cobalt wasn't running 18psi. If he was that would mean a smaller pulley and a boost bypass mod most likely even a Psi-Fi or Intense kit.

The guys running that stuff see high 13's @ 102-103mph.

only from a codybalt do ALL cobalts run their absolute best possible stock time 14.5 and ALL 99-04 mustang GTs run their pretty bad 14.5 times.

You need to give it up. The 2v is faster than the slobalt ss, you are the only one that claims they all run low mid 14s. Most are running mid to high 14s which is SLOWER than a 2v GT. Is is that hard for you to understand that you are really slow like all cobalt ss cars.

Well I out of my four runs my worst was 14.5 @ 100.06mph with a 2.3 60ft so I can say that they are a mid to low 14 second car.

Anyone else that can drive one has the same results. Thats real life for ya not magazine racing just pure hard numbers.

What are you guys going to say when you run a Stage 2 SS/SC? They will be in the mid 13's @ 102-103mph with a decent (not perfect) driver.

How fast is a 99-04 GT with $630 in mods again?

Waiting on we'll just get nitrous response.............................

Well with $630 one could get juice and wax the cobalt. When I run into one personally I will just laugh because mid 13s is STILL SLOWER THAN ME. The 2v guys will still know that they have th more attractive sports car so I don't think they will car. That little blower can't produce much more than maybe a low 13. The GT has tons of potential. You cars will always be slow.

Look man, I bleed Chevy orange and I'm telling you, when comparing similar years the Mustang GT is simply faster then the Cobalt. The SN95 GT (99-04, 4.6 2V) has been verified by a GM High Tech driver (so there's no Ford bias) to be capable of running 13.7 factory stock. I have not heard of a Cobalt coming close to that. It just won't happen, it's not capable of it. 05+ GT's are faster then that.
"But, but, Stage 2 yo!" [8D]
Anything can be made fast when modified. Mustangs, Cobalts, Pintos, mopeds, whatever. All else being equal, the Mustang is the faster runner.

have any proof of these runs? not long ago you claimed your best run was like a 14.6. now your worst is a 14.5? i don't get you at all. it's easy to search for your contradictions too. i put like 4 in one post when i was bored. one of the ones that's locked now though.

answer your question though, $630 of mods on a 99-04 GT will put you in the high 12s or low 13s. nitrous with a 125 shot is sexy.

I'm actually surprised that the EVO lost to the SE-R. Those things aren't very fast in stock form, so his mods must have been well chosen and tuned for.

the se-r engine is a detuned and less powerfull 350z engine and the altima weighs more so i kinda doubt it could take a 350z

Yes, we raced from a 20 Roll on the highway. My car has intake, shorty headers (BBK), xpipe, and flowmaster catback, VT Stage 1 Cams, Predator tuned, and 3.73 gears.

03 Mustang GT
What was your RWHP number with this setup?
