if he was acutally going 145 he had to pull over and wait for the cop to come give him a ticket. with that much time he had time to pull out his liscense and registration proof of insurance time to hide the alcohol and tell everybody to make sure they had there seat belt on

my least deserved ticket 37 in a 35 best get out of a ticket 114 in a 25 a long long time ago in my then brand new 65 comet (God i,m getting old)

 

the cops around where i live dont even mess with you unless your going more than 10 over. same with the photo radar. if i was him i would definitely be pissed about that ticket.

 

You actually got a tick for 37 in a 35?! Did you pay that? You can easily win in court just repeat to the judge the classic fact that radar guns can be several mph off (which can mean you were actually going faster, but since you're innocent until PROVEN guilty that doesn't matter). And on top of that, you can argue that its too hard to maintain an exact speed at all times.

 

He can be pissed about it all he wants... You ever seen somebody HAPPY after they got a ticket? He really has nobody to blame but himself..... Here's some logic, if you don't want a speeding ticket.... Don't speed! Can't blame the cop for doing his job though....

 

Ahh yall are a bunch on hypocrits(sp?). Have you not ever wondered what your cars top speed is? The way i see it is hes safer doing 140 on an empty road by himself than he is doing 100+ in a drag race with a car 2 ft away from him. I had my car maxed out in 4th gear 2 times (130+). Do i think it was dumb? NO. I dont. The road was empty. Big deal. Why do cars go that fast? There is no reason a car can hit 150 unless it was ok to do so(under the right circumstances).

I see yalls point about him being 17, but come on, have yall not ever maxed your car out???

i didn,t contest the 2 over ticket it was a $5.00 fine and michigan didn,t give points for "small tickets" at the time .

it wasn,t radar, the cop was next to me and i knew it .he claimed my over sized tires probably thew my speedo off .
