Default willfully ignorant

Is it possible to cut a small piece from a coil on a stock spring to achieve a slightly lower stance? My tech advises that would maintain a more comfortable ride than ONLY getting lowering springs. I know it is probably wildly stupid but I have dumped a lot of cash into this car and am, at least for now, operating on a budget. Advice welcomed. Thanks from KY

Yes.... this is a pretty common way to drop ones ride.

The trick is not cutting soo much so that your drop is too far or you have poor fitment of springs afterward. People say to cut only a portion of the "dead" coils off and would agree.

Do some research and will find those that have done this and the results achieved... good and/or bad.
