Default Which tires

The reason I am posting here is because I have a turbo 2.3. Anyway my past experiences at the track were helpful for me to learn more about my cr's limits. I ran a 13.90 at 104 mph but My 60 ft was 2.4 and 1/8 was 9.9. I kept spinning the tires until the 330-1/8 mile mark. I currently have nitto 555r tires. This month I plan of installing an 8.8 rear with 31 spline axles and was wondering what tires to you recommend I use. It will be a daily driver and will see track time once a month. Thanks.

Well, if you were spinning that long you need to practice the driver mod, especially with pseudo race tires like the 555r.

That said, I have a spare set of wheels and run the Hoosiers below.

Mid-high 1.7s to 1.8's are what I would average, depending on how well the track was prepped. Your trap shows you have enough for some mid-low 13s, just need the launch to make it happen.

Thanks! I was also looking at MT ET streets. Experience with these? I heard good and bad.

I have never used them personally, but from anything I have heard they have an excellent reputation, and were plenty good to deliver my dad's T-Type to mid 1.7's a couple years back.

More than anything though, I highly suggest a couple spare wheels to mount them on. Radials get exciting on a wet road, and the soft compound wears out extremely quickly. Wouldn't be that big of a deal to swap wheels once a month.
