engine wires getting eaten

engine wires getting eaten
Hi,
My 04 cobra is attracting more than pretty women and rice. I got varmits eating my engine wires and the battery protective cover.
I have tried mothballs, poison, traps (which don't work because my puppies jump up and scratch the car trying to get it), and now I am fresh out of ideas.
My home is in a somewhat rural area, zoned for horses, so everything under the sun lives out here. These danged rats are driving me crazy. I could care less if they are out in the stables but my CAR??
It's war...
Any body got any strategies that willl help?
Thanks,
Luka

I've tried a lot of stuff and found that dryer sheets, were the best solution.
Moth ***** are only good for the area they are in. They won't keep them out of your garage.....
You need to spend some time mice proofing your garage (if that's where you are parking). Best way to start, clean everything off the floor. Go to a hardware store and buy an expandable foam spray. Go around the entire perimiter of the inside of your garage. Then, buy metal or a rubber seals to line your garage doors.
Now you should put traps around all entry points in the garage. Mice don't enter a new area and just sprint across the room, they travel along the perimeter until they feel safe. So you'll have almost a 100% success rate if ANY do get into your garage again, that you'll break the little bastards neck before it's been in there long enough to cause any havoc.
Sounds like I know what I'm doing eh? I HAD mice in my garage.....not anymore! Bastards!
