Lowering springs
It's kind of like how you tell me I shouldn't drag until I get the H/E. You can install the springs, but if you don't get the CC plates, you'll be buying new tires very soon, or me an engine if I dont listen. A proper aligment wont be possible without them. Only the front gets aligned. The rear does not use or have CC plates and does not get aligned. They're simple to install, especially if you get a 3 bolt direct replacment. I had the 4 bolt from UPR and had to drill the 4th hole in. If you're gonna do less than a 1.5 inch drop, the 3 bolt will be fine. Any springs you get will need an alignment.
i just installed my steeda 03 cobra spring it sits at the right height now before the back was way to high.i got the spacers for the front to raise to up some..iam just going to drive it a week before i get alined.so the spring to settle some after a 15 miles drive it drop about 3/4 of an inch .without the front spacers from steeda my ft. end would have been to low to clear speed bumps. btw i don't have c/c/ plates. hope is helps you. maximum mustang motorsprots as the best sub frame connectors full lenght. i got a vert. so i need it stiff.
I have bought an extra set of stock springs on the last 3 Cobras I have purchased. I cut my stockers put them in and got it aligned and have yet to need C/C plates. Not calling anyone out, just my experience. Linear rate springs are great for cutting.
You can get away with not installing caster camber plates, but ideally you want caster camber plates and an alignment. Steeda 4 Bolts are the best C/C plates in our opinion and we sell all brands(Maximum Motorsports, UPR, etc). As far as springs H&R have the nicest drop.
