4.6 5 speed to 4.6 6 speed swap
Hey all, I have a 97 Cobra with several aftermarket mods and whatnot. You can see it here.
I need some really good educated answers to this question, so only reply if you really knwo what your talking about (not to be rude but i dont take chances)
I want to bolt a 4.6 2003+ cobra transmission to my current VIN-V 4.6 cobra engine to gain that 6th gear.
From everything I've seen, it seems as though the engines are the same, save the charger.. but I'm not sure.
I've tried asking the dealerships around here but they go by the dont ask dont tell method. Rather annoying.
Any insight on this would be great.. and if it wont work please explain, just so I can learn. Thanks!

i know its just a matter of changer the complete tranny along with the bellhousing on the 99, and 01. Not quite sure on the 96-98. d and d performance might be of some assistance to you. www.ddperformance.com
