Default Running richer in colder weather?

Maybe this is a stupid question but do cars generally run richer (even after it's been running for 10mins +) in cold(er) weather?

cars actually run slightly leaner when the weather is cold. This is because colder air is denser. Like in a forced induction car, 12 lbs of intercooled boost is actually "more" air than 12lbs of "hot" boost.

That's what I thought BUT it seems like my car has been running a little more richer the last few cold days. You can DEF smell it.
