hello there im new to the forums and mustnags i have recently purchased a mustang cobra 1997 and it came with 3.73 gears in the trunk not installed and i was wondering if i shuld take it to a shop for them to install them will i se a significant increase in torquee or shuld i go and buy 4.10s thanks

If you already have the 3.73s I'd just go with them rather than spending money on 4.10s. If you plan on going FI in the future, you'll want the 3.73s in there anyway.

Depends what your plans are for the car. 3.73's are nice all around gear, if your gonna boost the car or NOS it go with thoses. 4.10's can be fun but can to me there are just a pain in the *** epecially in a 5 speed.

u wont see any increase in torque because gears dont add power or torque. They simply get u in ur current powerband a lot quicker, resulting in faster acceleration, with equal power.

I'd go with the 3.73's. I had them in two of my past mustangs, great all around gear. I have a friend with an 02 GT wih 4.10's, sucks on the highway.
