RE: blower idea help?
Has any one ported the eaton yet to see how much more power gain you can get out of it? im thinking KB my self but the guy at the shop here has never ported a blower but has done plenty of heads so we are discussing if we want him to look at it and then try or look at it and send it off get it ported and then let him look at it to see how its done and if its that much more different than heads. They deal more with imports and turbos.

RE: blower idea help?
i made 245whp/214wtqon my ported eaton with a 2.9" pulley
prior to that i made 237/212. the only other difference between dyno sessionswas that it was maybe 5*F warmer(outside temp)the second time
i should probably mention that it was only an eaton M62, on a cobalt.lol
but seriously, the biggest advantage of the porting was in my iat2 temps. i noticed a substantial decrease (about 12%). i did see a couple ponies.. but it was on an inferior vehicle. there are advantages, however.. switching out the eaton would probably be your best bet. unfortunately, i didnt have that option with the cobalt (still only 1 s/c swap available. a lysholm 1200ax, wich wasnt worth it as far as hp per dollar. plus, there's only 1 guy thats made that work.. and the cobalt community hasn't heard from him in months. i think he blew it up)
i'm well aware of the mustang community's distain for the cobalt ss, i'm just sharing an experience that might help the o.p. make a decision. plus, i dont really have any mods on my cobra.. so all i have to talk about is my slow *** cobalt. lol
i have the sheets and pics, but for some reason it just comes up as text when i try to post them. suggestions?
