Default Staggered Wheel Q?

Anybody know if the 03 Cobras came with staggered rim sizes? When i look at my car it seems like the fronts are bigger than the rears... The guy at the dealership told me that they swapped the fronts with the rears because they had less wear. All four rims have 275's i'm just not sure the rims are the samw width...

03 cobras do come in a 10.5" size. I have seen them before. I have the same deal as you though. I have 9" wheels all around with 275s and it looks like the fronts are wider. It is because (my opinon) the rear quarter panel is out further than the front fender, so the gap makes the wheel width deceiving. At least 9" all around is "unique" these days. I'd keep it if I were you.

Do you think it would look a little different if i put 315's back there?

You could put 315 back there and a 3/8 spacer to give it a better look.

I heard that spacers put a lot of stress on the bolts. I may have the wrong idea, but I think you should look into them before you just buy them. That would definitely be a good remedy but you dont want your wheels fallin off when drivin down the road.

I've never heard anything about spacers... but the 315 would fit the rims without any problems? I have heard something about big tires rubbing on some of the IRS components... Anyone have any feedback?

The easy answer is to look at the tires and read what size they are, that'll tell you if one set is wider than the other. From the factory all four wheels were 9", but there are certainly other options and the rubber itself could just be bigger. Check the tire size and if you want, get a tape measure and measure a specific point on the front and back. Unless you measure the right spot you wont get the actual rim size, but you can easily see if the rims are wider.

if you go to maximummotorsports.com they sell low profile subframe bolts. i bought them for my 99 cobra for when i widen the rims and tires in the rear.

Just go to their site and go to rear suspension and then IRS specific. the bolts will give you more clearance. they're like $10
