Default Dynod!

Ok so i took my 03 cobra to the shop to get lowered and dynod today. They shop owner is a friend of mine and he texted me and told me it had 455hp and 435tq. So something is done to this car besides for the stuff we know. Cold air intake....i think its more the ram air intake thingy were the airfilter is still in the engine bay. Exhaust and some kind of tune. We think it might have a pulley on it as well with the tune? My friend just bought him and 03 cobra and my s/c wine is alot louder than his so do you think it is a pulley? the pulley guard is still on it so i dont know what do yall think?

Ummm, why do you look at the pulley, should be pretty obvious, if not measure it. The only thing is im pretty sure the guard doesnt fit with a differnt size pulley.

It's almost certainly got exhaust, intake, pulley and tune. Those are the common 4 mods on these cars and put them at 450 RWHP. If your whine is louder, that's probably because it's pushing a lot more boost. I don't know if I've ever seen a Cobra with a pulley that still had the belt guard on it, but I was never sure if it was because it wouldn't fit or just because most people didn't bother.

Take a look at the pulley, it probably has a number on it, 2.78 or 2.80 or something similar. Or you could just measure it yourself. How big is it's diameter?

well i cant measure it b/c the damn guard is still on it...i am working on getting it off tho and i will let every one know for sure. But yall think the pulley has been changed? i looked at one cobra and then looked at mine both had the belt guard or pulley guard whatever you want to call it on there....why would you go thru the hassel of taking it off then putting it back on? really that screw on the bottom?

It really does sound like you do. You're making exactly the power that you would with a pulley. I don't know why someone would put it on unless they thought it looked better or wanted to look stock.

if you don't have an aux idler the gaurd will go back on with no problems. i would bet you have a pulley on there either a 2.76 or a 2.81 would be my guess. sompe pople put the gaurd back on to hide the fact it is pullied.
