I would not use the bbk tb,accufab is by far the best. And you definetly need a tune with more boost. I use SCT and love it. the stock tune is way rich.Ford used four of five different tunes like early 03 did not have the stall fix and so on.Any tb will change your idle, you can control this by adjusting the tps but usually not enough.Mine had to be tuned for the tb, the pulley and other stuff. You will also have gains just from the tune, and get a dyno tune dont use the tune in a can..Just my .02 hope it helps.
I agree don't get the bbk. If you want one just go ahead and get the single blade accufab. And you will definitely need a tune. I use diablo for my tuning but you can't go wrong with diablo or sct. Just see what the person uses that you are looking to get the tune from.
You could do the accufab... or some other options are to keep it stock and port your blower/tb (sees almost exact same gains the accufab and ported tb)... or the billett flow one i heard it actually a lot better then the accufab...
def get a dyno tune done and not just a canned tune! The last 03 with a 15lb pulley that I seen on the dyno had a diablo chip crammed in his car and he was running a mere 50:1 a/f at peak. The kid picked up 72hp and upwards of 50ftlbs/tq just from dyno tuning.
